Would you like to learn project management in practice on district heating projects, but also energy projects across supply types – and do you want to sit close to a project manager from day one and put on your work gloves when extra hands are needed in both projects and bids?

In Sweco Energy we work with district heating as a central part of the green transition. We already today support the phase-out of natural gas through a wealth of projects in the district heating area – from implementation of district heating to screening of district heating potential. Our portfolio ranges from smaller tasks in existing district heating areas to larger construction projects establishing new supply areas.

For our team in Aalborg we now seek an assistant project manager who will learn the field close to a project manager and gradually take more responsibility. You will become part of a strong professional environment with cross-disciplinary collaboration, where you learn from experienced colleagues and get the opportunity to quickly develop in the role.

About the position

As an assistant project manager you work directly under our project manager on district heating projects. The role is both learning and active: you take responsibility from day one, but we also expect that you are ready to help where needed – both in project delivery and in the commercial part (customer, bids and pipeline).

Your main tasks will be to

• Support the project manager in planning and execution of district heating projects, including follow-up on time, economy and deliverables.
• Participate in project meetings and ensure structure, minutes, agreement lists and progress on decisions (status, deadlines and responsibility)
• Contribute to coordination with internal disciplines and external stakeholders, so input and deliverables align in practice.
• Prepare and assemble materials for bids and tenders and support the commercial process (e.g., schedules, descriptions, annexes and document structure).
• Contribute to customer dialogue and relationship building together with the project manager – and learn how we translate needs into concrete tasks and agreements.
• Depending on experience, interest and competencies; possibly also technical supervision, construction management and health and safety coordination.

You are structured, collaborative and motivated by seeing the projects come to life – from idea to finished project. In addition, we see that you thrive in an outward-facing role, where you have a large touchpoint and communicate with many people daily.

We imagine that you

• Are educated as energy planner or have a corresponding relevant education with broad understanding of energy from idea to finished project
• Have around 3 years of experience within energy – preferably district heating and/or multi-supply
• Have the desire to learn project management close to a project manager and gradually take more responsibility in the projects
• Are structured and good at creating overview, following up and ensuring that agreements are executed
• Have a natural commercial interest and desire to contribute to bid work and customer efforts
