About Egon

Egon is married to Lillian and together they live in a lovely house in Tune. Egon has chronic respiratory insufficiency after a stroke, is tracheostomised and has a team of skilled helpers around him to handle the respiratory monitoring and treatment 24 hours a day.

In daily life, Lillian keeps everything running when coordinating with the home care service, which comes to help with transfers to and from the wheelchair, care, tube feeding, and a catheter. In time, we look forward to creating more calm in everyday life when the respiratory team takes over the health professional services around tube feeding, medication and catheter - for this the team will receive thorough training from home care in Greve Municipality.

With Egon and Lillian, the good relationship means a lot, and if you ask the team it is precisely that which makes this a really nice job. You must be able to be present and have an eye for Egon’s needs while also being able to be the fly on the wall when there is a need for a nap.

A job with both heart and professionalism

Your primary task is to manage the respiratory monitoring and treatment of Egon in accordance with current instructions and guidelines from the Respirations Center East. You do not need to have prior experience with respiratory treatment. We provide thorough on-the-job training at home and certification via Respirationscenter Øst , before you work independently.

Working hours

The position is for 98 hours over a 4-week rotation , distributed over seven daytime shifts and one awake night shift .

• Day shifts: 07:45-20:00
• Night shift: 19:45-08:00

The team helps each other cover for illness and holidays, so we can together ensure Egon the continuity and security he needs.

• Can work independently and take responsibility

• Has understanding and respect for working in a private home
• Wants to learn and develop professionally

You do not need to be a trained healthcare professional – the most important is that you have the desire to improve your skills, a sense of responsibility and heart in your work. Experience from the care, nursing, or health sector is of course a great advantage.
