About the job
Are you passionate about hands-on leadership, strong relationships, and professional development? Are you motivated by creating direction, well-being, and good conditions for both residents and staff? Then you may be the person we are looking for as the Assistant Care Home Manager at Fremtidens Plejehjem.
Fremtidens Plejehjem
Fremtidens Plejehjem opened in 2014 and is centrally located by the dock area in Nørresundby, beautifully positioned directly overlooking the Limfjord. The care home is bright, inviting and houses 75 two-bedroom apartments. All apartments are equipped with a range of welfare-technology solutions, which are a natural part of the care home's profile.
Fremtidens Plejehjem is a vibrant house with a wide range of activities and a strong sense of community. An active activity council, many volunteers and an engaged user and relatives council, together with the staff, help create a house with life, engagement and community.
At Fremtidens Plejehjem, residents are a central part of daily life. There is a focus on daily dialogue and on involving residents in everyday life and in the development of the house. Here there is great diversity and room to breathe for both residents and staff. There is a strong belief that people develop when there is space for engagement, ideas, and new possibilities.
A Workplace in Development
We are in the midst of an exciting development with the implementation of both holistic care and the new elder care act.
As part of this development, we have strengthened our interdisciplinary collaboration by employing a physiotherapist and a nurse at the care home. This means that we can, to an even greater extent, create coherent solutions around the residents and strengthen the quality of the overall task performance.
We have a dedicated workforce comprising social and health care assistants, social and health aides, nurses, a physiotherapist, flex workers and students. In addition, we collaborate closely with, among others, our care home doctor, Borgers Faste Teams (which provide nursing between 15:00 and 07:00, on weekends and holidays), senior psychiatry, geriatric dental care and many other professionals.
About the Position
As the Assistant Care Home Manager you will be part of a close and trusting management collaboration with the care home manager and two other assistant managers in addition to you.
You will be a central sparring partner in daily operations and play an important role in ensuring that both residents and staff experience a daily life characterized by quality, well-being, and cohesion.
You will join the management of a staff group of about 70 engaged employees.
We are seeking an assistant leader who can combine structure and overview with presence, clarity, and recognition. You can lead from the front, create direction, and bring people together around common goals while also paying attention to the individual and actively contributing to a strong and committed work community.
Fremtidens Plejehjem is in a development phase where we targetedly work to strengthen professionalism, create a shared culture, and further develop strong work communities. An attractive and sustainable work environment for the entire staff group is an important part of this effort. The development occurs in close collaboration between the management team, the staff, and the representatives of the trade unions and the work environment.
As the Assistant Manager, you will have a central role in the continued development. You will help set a clear direction, create engagement, and ensure follow-through so that our ambitions materialize into action and become a natural part of daily life at Fremtidens Plejehjem.
At Fremtidens Plejehjem we work with a basis in René Jensen’s “Reach out to me for collaboration - thank you!” . We believe that strong work communities are the foundation for high professionalism, well-being, and quality for our residents. Therefore we expect you as a leader to value building strong relationships, support psychological safety, and contribute to a culture marked by trust, curiosity, shared responsibility, and constructive dialogue.
