At the Dementia Competence Center we are looking for night staff for our Building A.

The building consists of 3 floors, with 12 units on each floor. 2 assessment rooms.

As a night shift you are alone, with the possibility to call for help from the other building, just as they could need you.

The residents at Nældebjerg Care Home are people aged 68 – 95, living in dementia apartments and ordinary care apartments. Since more people live with dementia from moderate to severe, we need your expertise and your good mood.

The job

We are looking for a night shift of 28 hours per week. The shifts are arranged so that you have 7 night shifts Monday through Sunday in odd/even weeks, after which you have 7 days off.

Your workday will consist of everything from basic health and nursing tasks to more complex tasks. You will collaborate with, among others, social- and health care assistants, nurses, nutrition assistants and general practitioners, in the work of observing and assessing the citizens’ condition and development.

We work based on person-centered care - Tom Kitwood, where the relationships with residents are the most important.

We emphasize clear daily documentation so that we can purposefully work on and describe the good methods and approaches that make the residents happy and secure. We use Nexus.

About you

We expect you to

• Be educated as a Social- and Health Care Assistant
• Take initiative, contribute to the development of task solving, come with suggestions for improvements and develop new ways of doing things.
• Be mentally and physically robust and able to work independently
• Work for a good work environment, be loyal and contribute with a positive approach to both the work and to colleagues and partners.
• Maintain an overview in a sometimes hectic daily life with several unforeseen situations. Can work throughout the building if needed.
• Possess a high professional level as SSA and can document and develop pedagogical action plans digitally
• Be used to working purposefully according to procedures and guidelines
• Have experience as a night shift
