About the job
The position has a start date of January 1, 2027.
Our core task is to educate interdisciplinary professional bachelor's degree graduates who understand the entire industrial business – from technology and production to market and export.
The position, in addition to teaching and participation in research and development activities, will also include cross-cutting functions such as project supervision, contact with students, preparation of examination tasks, as well as ongoing development of teaching and education etc. in collaboration with the program's other instructors.
We also want to strengthen the program's practice-oriented research and development profile and therefore seek a colleague who can contribute to developing new knowledge in interaction with companies, students and colleagues.
We place special emphasis on linking our teaching with practice through reflective practice-based learning. This means that students work with concrete problems from industry and move between disciplinary knowledge, experience, reflection and action. Therefore you must be able to translate your technical knowledge and experience into teaching, cases and projects that make sense in a business context.
We continually work to develop strong relationships with industry and organizations. Through practice-oriented research and development projects we collaborate with companies and other actors to translate technical knowledge into concrete solutions, relevant learning pathways and the ongoing development of the education.
About the position
Export and Technology is an interdisciplinary program that combines technical product development and production with business, export and communication. We are therefore looking for a technically broadly grounded colleague, preferably with an engineering background and experience from a technical and/or production-oriented company.
You should be able to make classical technical subjects applicable for students who will work at the crossroads of technology and business, but who are not educated to become specialized engineers.
An important part of the position is therefore also to contribute to research and development activities within the program's academic areas. This can include participation in practice-oriented research and development projects with companies, development of project ideas, contributions to externally funded projects, dissemination of new knowledge and translation of research and development results into teaching, cases and student projects.
It would be advantageous if you have a PhD or equivalent documented experience with research and development work.
You will teach and supervise within the following subject areas
- Material knowledge and material selection
- Design/construction, including basic statics and strength theory
- Production processes and planning
- Operations Management, including capacity calculations
- Quality assurance, quality management and quality improvement
- Process optimization as well as the use of relevant quality systems and digital control systems
- IT systems (including ERP systems, Excel and other IT systems used in a manufacturing company)
- Project management
- Technology and product development
The study regulations for the program can be found here

We expect that
- you have a relevant technical educational background, preferably as a civil or master's engineer, and an overall qualification level that enables you to teach at the professional bachelor level
- you have relevant industry experience from a technical or production-oriented company
- you can translate your professional knowledge and practical experience into teaching that is usable and understandable for students with different academic backgrounds
- you can teach and supervise in both Danish and English
- you can contribute to a motivating learning environment where students actively work with real-world problems
- you can participate in interdisciplinary collaborations on teaching, supervision and examination tasks as well as the development of the education
- you have an interest in and preferably experience with practice-oriented research and development in collaboration with companies, organizations or educational environments
- you can contribute to developing, implementing and disseminating research and development activities that strengthen the program's academic environment and link to industry
- you have an interest in industry collaboration and take the initiative to create and maintain relations with companies
- you are prepared to teach on a hybrid program and to develop teaching that fosters participation and presence for both online and on-campus students
- you have teaching experience or the desire and prerequisites to develop yourself as an instructor
We offer
- an exciting educational environment within an area that is in constant motion
- good opportunities for development both professionally and personally
- a small, interdisciplinary team where we work closely together, share knowledge and take joint responsibility for the education and the students' learning
- colleagues who are curious about each other’s disciplines, and an environment where there is room for both independence, initiative and joint development of the teaching.
- You will become part of a research environment where you together with colleagues have the opportunity to translate your technical knowledge into research and development projects.
