Atuarfik Hans Lynge is located at the end of Nuuk city, in Qinngorput. The school is situated in a beautiful natural area with mountains, waterfalls and lakes. Atuarfik Hans Lynge is a modern school that was opened at the start of the 2011 school year. The school houses all teaching rooms as well as modern furnishings and IT equipment, such as iPads and Apple TV.

The school has grades 1-10, run in two streams. There are currently 470 students and 41 teachers.

There is a well-functioning staff, a positive and dialogue-based school & home collaboration, clear and visible leadership with good parental cooperation relationships in everyday life.

Criminal and Child Certification

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal records and child certification. In accordance with the law, employment may begin only when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certification. Therefore, note that the start date can only be agreed once the municipality has received the child check from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with consent from the individual, whereas the criminal record certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland and the corresponding negotiating organization as of the time of recruitment.

The appointment will be made with a 3-month probation period.
