Do you want to work with both backend development, integrations and the technology that keeps the solutions securely in production? We are looking for an experienced backend- and DevOps-developer for our IT Digital Commerce team in Arp-Hansen Hotel Group. You will work with the systems behind our websites and online booking – from development and databases to deployment, troubleshooting and operations. We are facing a major modernization of our digital platform and booking solution.

At the same time we have existing systems that must run stably while we build new. Therefore we are looking for a developer who can write good code and is interested in what happens with the solution after it is deployed.

What will you work with?

Your tasks will among other things be to

• Develop and maintain backend solutions in C# and .NET
• Build and maintain integrations to hotel, booking and payment systems
• Work with Microsoft SQL Server and our databases
• Automate workflows and operational tasks with PowerShell
• Maintain and improve our build- and deployment processes
• Work with monitoring, troubleshooting and secure operation
• Contribute to modernizing our existing solutions
• Brainstorm with the rest of the team about architecture and technical choices

The role is a mix of backend development and DevOps. You do not need to be an expert in everything, but you must have solid experience and a desire to work across and take responsibility for the solutions all the way from code to production.

Our technical setup

We work with

• C# and .NET 4.8 as well as .NET 10
• Microsoft SQL Server
• PowerShell
• Windows Server and to a lesser extent Linux
• TeamCity for builds
• Octopus Deploy for deployment
• GitLab
• TypeScript and JavaScript – also in parts of the backend

We will work more with container-based operations. Therefore it is advantageous if you have experience with Kubernetes and Docker or Podman.

Who are you?

We expect that you have a minimum of five years of experience from a similar role and a solid background in C# and .NET.

In addition we place emphasis on that you

• Have experience with SQL and databases
• Have worked with or are interested in CI/CD, deployment and operations
• Can get up to speed with existing systems and code
• Work in a structured way with debugging and problem-solving
• Take responsibility and follow your tasks through to completion
• Can explain technical issues and are keen to share your knowledge and spar with the rest of the team

Experience with server operations, containers or integrations between multiple systems is an advantage. We do not expect you to tick off all technologies on the list.

Your team

You will become part of IT Digital Commerce, where we work with Arp-Hansen Hotel Group's websites, booking solutions and other digital solutions for our guests and hotels. The team consists of developers, UX’ers and a team lead. We work closely together and have a practical approach to tasks. There is room to ask questions, challenge existing solutions and propose how we can do things better. We develop our central solutions ourselves. That means you come close to both the systems and the people who use them, and you get the opportunity to help shape the technical direction.

Your workplace

Our office is located in Gentofte, and we work from the office four days a week. There is an option for one weekly day of remote work, but the position is not a remote role. You will have a daily life with both new development, modernization and responsibility for solutions that are already in operation. Some tasks are large and long-term, while others are about finding and solving a concrete problem or getting a hotfix into production here and now. The tone is informal, and the atmosphere is easy-going. We say things as they are, help each other and try to keep unnecessary bureaucracy to a minimum.
