About the job
Would you like to help further develop HOFOR's climate accounting and sustainability work through analyses, data and professional insights?
At HOFOR we work every day to create the sustainable supply of the future. We deliver among other things drinking water, district heating, climate adaptation and green energy to the capital region. At the same time we work purposefully to reduce the climate and environmental impact from our activities and to create a solid basis for the decisions we make across the organization.
Therefore we are looking for a sustainability consultant who will help to further develop our annual climate accounting and strengthen the analytical basis for HOFOR's sustainability work.
Turn data into knowledge and decision basis
As a sustainability consultant you will have a central role in the work with HOFOR's climate accounting and analyses within climate, resources and biodiversity, which create insight and support priorities across the organization.
You will work with the entire analysis process from data collection and quality assurance to calculations, analyses and communication of results. A significant part of the job is to translate complex data and relationships into clear insights that can be used in decisions and prioritizations across HOFOR.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues and professional specialists in HOFOR's various supply areas and contribute to developing methods, processes and data foundations for our sustainability work.
Your main tasks will be to
- Prepare and further develop HOFOR's annual climate accounting
- Collect, structure and quality-assure climate and sustainability data
- Conduct analyses within climate, resources and biodiversity
- Translate analyses into decision-relevant knowledge and recommendations
- Collaborate with HOFOR's supply areas on data, methods and analysis needs
- Contribute to developing methods, processes and data foundations for HOFOR's sustainability work
- Follow developments in relevant standards and requirements in the climate and sustainability area
- Prepare presentations and communicate analyses and professional assessments to different audiences
Solid analytical competencies and interest in climate
We imagine that you have a relevant advanced education in, for example, climate, environment, sustainability, natural sciences, engineering, economics, data analysis or a related field.
You can be a recent graduate or have a couple of years' experience from student jobs or the labor market. The most important is that you have a solid analytical foundation, work confidently with data and want to develop your professional skills within climate and sustainability analyses.
It is an advantage if you have knowledge of climate accounting, the GHG protocol or other relevant standards. We expect, on the other hand, that you are curious and motivated to learn new methods and requirements and translate them into HOFOR's concrete reality.
We also place emphasis on that you
- Are analytical and motivated by exploring complex issues
- Work systematically with data, calculations, documentation and quality assurance
- Can identify patterns and translate data into professional insights and usable recommendations
- Take responsibility for your tasks and are proactive in collaborating with others
- Can create overview and ensure progress in your own deliverables
- Work confidently in Excel and preferably have experience with Power BI or similar tools
- Communicate complex analyses clearly and professionally in Danish
Experience from the utilities sector is an advantage.
