About the job
Sustainability Leader for Infrastructure & Construction
Do you want to make sustainability concrete, operational and value-creating in large civil engineering and construction projects? We are seeking a Sustainability Leader for Infrastructure and Construction, who can translate goals, customer requirements and project learning into practical solutions, documentation and measurable improvements. The role has primary focus on Eastern Denmark and also contributes to a shared direction and development across Denmark.
About the role
As a Sustainability Leader you will play a central role close to projects, construction sites and project teams. You will be the link between strategy and practice and help translate contract requirements and sustainability ambitions into concrete processes, tools and solutions. At the same time you will support business areas and customers with advisory, documentation and clarification of sustainability requirements and contribute to a clearer sustainability culture across Infrastructure and Construction.
Your tasks
- Integrate sustainability into project management, planning and production so that requirements are translated into concrete actions and measurable improvements on construction sites
- Contribute to bid work and customer dialogue with sustainable solutions that create value for the customer and improve our competitiveness
- Support behavioral changes, competence development and anchoring of sustainability in the organization
- Develop and standardize methods, tools and processes that make it easier for projects to work consistently and efficiently with sustainability requirements
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and experience gathering across projects
- Contribute to the Aarsleff group’s climate and sustainability goals through concrete initiatives in projects and the value chain
- Drive processes for energy optimization and reduction of resource consumption on construction sites and in projects
- Prepare, qualify and apply sustainability data so they can be included in reporting, management, decisions and documentation
- Conduct and support LCA calculations in Real-Time LCA.
Your profile
We imagine that you have experience with sustainability in the construction and civil engineering industry and thrive at the intersection of strategy, project management, data, documentation and practical implementation. You understand both business, the daily life of projects and customer requirements, and you can create an overview, make complex requirements operational and get people on board when new initiatives are anchored.
We emphasize that you
- Have construction site experience
- Have understanding of CO2, EPDs, LCA and sustainability documentation
- Have experience with project management and can ensure progress from idea to implementation
- Have strong competencies in change management and can create engagement, ownership and anchoring in the organization.
- Have knowledge of LCA tools – Real-Time LCA
- Have knowledge of DGNB and requirements for material documentation and material approvals
- Can work in a structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented way and can balance specification requirements, contract requirements and documentation requirements for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Can translate data, analyses and learning from pilot projects into concrete recommendations, workflows and best practices
- Communicate clearly and can create a common direction across disciplines, projects and organizational levels.
We offer
You will hold a key position with the opportunity to influence sustainability work in concrete projects and across the organization. You will become part of a strong professional environment with short decision paths, close collaboration with the projects and the opportunity to leave your mark on the methods and workflows that make sustainability concrete in everyday life.
We look forward to receiving your application as soon as possible and no later than October 28. Applications received will be processed continuously, and we hire when we have found the right profile.
Location and collaboration
The role has primary focus on projects and activities in Eastern Denmark, based from our office in Glostrup, but you will also have a strategic role in supporting, developing and anchoring sustainability work across Denmark. You will therefore work both locally close to the projects and across the organization on common standards, knowledge sharing and practical implementation of sustainability work.
Contact
If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the Project Support and KMA Manager, Jane Dahl Larsen, at telephone 40 44 25 76.
Application deadline: Oct 28, 2026
Location: Eastern Denmark
