Bavneskolen – part of the 5-Clovers Schools in Faxe Municipality is seeking a teacher for Danish and crafts/design

Are you eager to help create safe and developing learning environments for students in the early years and in the middle grades? Are you passionate about the Danish subject and do you have a major in Danish and crafts/design? Then perhaps you are the person we are looking for.

We are seeking a relationship-building teacher who will primarily teach Danish and crafts/design in the early years and in the middle grades.

We are looking for someone who sees the possibilities in combining the academic and the practical, and who can create teaching where students have the opportunity to delve into topics, be creative, collaborate and experience the joy of learning.

At Bavneskolen we have a strong pedagogical foundation in PALS , where positive behavior and clear expectations help create good conditions for students' well-being and learning.

We work across year groups and classes, which provides a strong collegial cohesion and good opportunities for sparring and joint development.

Our teaching environments are inspired by the NEST principles, where clear structure, predictability and visual support are central elements. We also work with co-teaching in parts of the teaching to strengthen students' academic and social outcomes through close adult contact. In the position there will also be time bank hours focusing on co-teaching within your areas of competence.

• has a major in Danish and crafts/design
• wants to teach both in the early years and the middle grades
• is relationship-building and can create safe, motivating and inclusive learning environments
• works in a structured and clear way and has a sense of classroom management
• meets students with an appreciative approach and a view of children that builds on, that “all children do well – when they can”
• wants to participate in a close and committed team collaboration
• sees the value in linking academic learning with practical, creative and investigative work forms
• wants to develop their own practice through collaboration, sparring and shared reflection
