After the 12-week training you will join the daily team at one of these companies.

About the education and the job

The education is your direct entry to the job – and a unique opportunity to step into a future-proof industry with a shortage of qualified hands, where your new skills will be in demand. When you have completed the program at AW Academy, you will step directly into your new workplace. Here you become a key player in working to create intelligent, energy-efficient buildings and drive the green transition in practice.

In the role you will work with building and configuring systems – it does not require classic software programming, but rather arranging rules, controls and data flows logically, where your interest in machines and infrastructure comes into play. You will become part of a strong professional team of technicians, project managers and apprentices, where you will have a varied daily life with projects of all sizes across the industry.

Work tasks

• Intensive training with effective and practical studies,
• 12 months paid employment through Academic Work with one of our partners after completing the education.
• Computer and other materials you will need during the training.
• The possibility to start a completely new career and develop strong professional competencies – with no prior experience required.

Information about the education

Before starting the job you will undertake the intensive upskilling program in autumn 2026. Here you will learn about building automation, digital logic, control systems and energy optimization of buildings. You do not need any previous experience from the tech or construction industries – the most important is your curiosity, your abilities in pattern recognition and your motivation to learn new things. Together with AW Academy we create the best framework for a steep learning curve, so that after completing and passing the education you are fully ready to step directly into your new role.

• Education: November 1, 2026 – February 12, 2027
• First day at our partner: February 15, 2027
• Extent: Full-time, scheduled teaching (occurs digitally)
• Education venue: The teaching will take place digitally
• Workplace after completing the education: One of our partner offices in the Copenhagen area

We are looking for you who

• Have a strong logical understanding, a flair for pattern recognition and the ability to see through complex connections.
• Are curious about IT, tech, mathematics or system infrastructure – and are driven by the desire to learn new things and develop your skills.
• Thrives with problem solving and has a natural sense for system logic, without requiring a background as a programmer.
• Work thoroughly, responsibly and independently, but at the same time be a strong team player.
• Are motivated for both the intensive training program and the subsequent role, and you speak Danish and English fluently.
