Become a helper and friend for a cool 16-year-old boy with cerebral palsy - HFD

Would you like a meaningful job where you make a difference in the daily life of a young disabled boy? Are you physically robust? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for!

We are looking for a helper – and most importantly – a good friend to a lively 16-year-old boy with cerebral palsy. He needs support during the day for both practical help, personal care and social companionship.

About the position

The boy lives at home with his sweet family and needs help with everyday chores and activities. The boy uses a wheelchair and communicates with the help of an equipped computer - you must be patient, open and have a desire to communicate directly with the boy. In everyday life he loves to play games, go on trips and just have fun together, but he also needs help with personal care.

Because some tasks involve transferring and physical support, it is important that you are in good physical shape and not afraid to get involved.

Working hours

• Shifts fall in the time window 9:30 – 17:30
• Shifts are placed on weekdays, but it is a great advantage if you are flexible and have the possibility to help during illness and holidays in the other support team, where shifts can also be placed on weekends.
• Currently we are looking for a helper for two shifts per week.

We imagine that you

• Are physically robust and ready for an active job
• Are present, stable and have a positive mindset
• Are non-smoker
• Are patient and open in your communication. The boy is good at replying and taking initiative to communicate. It is therefore important that you have patience and want to listen and communicate openly and warmly with the boy.
• Perhaps you have experience with the disability sector – but it is not a requirement, we provide training
