Become a pedagogical assistant trainee in Struer Municipality – start January 2027

Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for as a pedagogical assistant trainee in Struer Municipality.

We are admitting two trainees starting on the foundation course 2 (GF2) on 11 January 2027.

As a trainee you will become part of everyday life in our day care services. Here you meet children who explore the world through play, and adults who support and guide with a view to children's needs, feelings and possibilities. You will learn to work professionally with pedagogy, while gaining experience in how we in Struer create inclusive communities where all children can participate.

The teaching takes place at the Social and Health School Midt- og Vestjylland in Holstebro, where you will gain a solid professional foundation in, among other things, pedagogy, psychology, movement, communication, health and culture. Along the way you will participate in two apprenticeship periods in Struer Municipality’s daycare – either in Vestbyen's Daycare or Eastbyen's Daycare – where you will be allowed to try the theory out in practice.

The education provides you with good opportunities for future employment in daycares, schools and SFOs, youth clubs and special institutions. It is also a gateway qualification if you later wish to further study to become a pedagogue.

Admission requirements

To become an apprentice you must either have

Completed the Social and Health School’s foundation course 1 (GF1)

or

Completed primary school or equivalent more than 14 months ago (special grade requirements apply)

You will receive wages throughout the entire training program
