About the job

Do you want an education where you make a difference in peoples everyday lives?

As an SSH student in Haderslev Municipality you get paid during the education, good colleagues around you and a daily life where you learn to help citizens with care, assistance, practical help and support to manage as much self-sufficiency as possible.

You dont need to be able to do everything from the start. The most important thing is that you want to learn and want to work with people.

We are looking for students for several programs. You can apply if you

  • are starting on Grundforløb 2
  • are in the process of Grundforløb 2
  • have already passed Grundforløb 2 and need to continue to the main program.

Are you unsure which program suits you? Then apply anyway. We will help you on.

In Haderslev Municipality you get

  • skilled full-time learning supervisors who support you in your progression
  • full, academic learning days every Tuesday with the other students, focusing on a theme, visits to companies and much more
  • a sense of community with other students
  • simulation as part of the training, so you learn in a safe environment
  • good job opportunities after the education
  • wages during the education according to the applicable rules
  • training at nursing homes and in home care in Haderslev Municipality and school periods at the Social and Health School in Aabenraa.

What will you learn?

As a social and health helper you become an important part of the citizens everyday life.

You learn, among other things, to

  • assist with personal care and support the citizen in managing as much as possible themselves
  • work with rehabilitation
  • help with practical tasks
  • create security and good relations with the citizens and their relatives
  • collaborate with colleagues and other professional groups
  • use digital solutions in everyday life.

You come close to the citizens, and your visits make a big difference.

Which path can you apply for?

There are two typical paths

  • Grundforløb 2 + main program

For you who want to start the education but have not yet passed Grundforløb 2.

  • Directly to the main program

For you who are in the process of or have already passed Grundforløb 2 in the social and health line.

Are you unsure which path fits you? Then apply anyway. We assess your options together with you.

We are looking for you who

  • want to work with people
  • treat others with respect, calm and care
  • are curious and ready to learn
  • can take responsibility for your education
  • are reliable and prepared for shift work and weekend work
  • can collaborate with citizens, relatives and colleagues
  • can start at 07.00.

You do not need to have experience in the care sector. The most important is that you want to learn.
