About the job
Would you like to become part of a residential service with high professionalism, a strong sense of community and a clear focus on the residents' everyday lives? Then apply to Boserupvej – a residential facility under the Social Psychiatry in the City of Copenhagen.
Boserupvej is developing, and in connection with an upscaling we are seeking new colleagues. We are looking for social- or health-care professionals, e.g. social and health care assistants, pedagogues, occupational therapists, psychomotor therapists, nurses or another relevant professional profile.
At Boserupvej you will become part of a longer-term social-psychiatric residential facility under § 108. We have three areas, each housing 30 residents who live in their own apartments with access to shared common areas.
The residents are adults with mental vulnerability – some also with substance use issues. We work recovery- and rehabilitation-oriented and base our approach on the resident being an actor and expert in their own life. This means that the relationship, presence and good conversations are an important part of the work.
In each area we have 14 full-time staff plus 9 permanent weekend workers who work every third weekend. We work closely together in a mature and experienced colleague group. We bring different professional backgrounds and experiences with us, but the common goal is to create good and meaningful everyday lives for the residents.
As Flemming, who works as a contact person at Boserupvej, says: “I have gained some fantastic colleagues of all ages and backgrounds, and I have good leaders who treat me properly.”
At Boserupvej you will have the opportunity to use your professional skills close to the residents. Everyday life is varied, and the tasks range from relationship work and conversations to practical support in the home, personal care, activities, documentation and health care tasks.
Your role
You will become part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of pedagogical, social and health care staff.
As a contact person you will have a close relationship with the residents you are the contact person for, and you help create structure, security and content in everyday life. You must be able to work independently, but also actively use your colleagues for sparring and collaboration.
Among your tasks will be
- contact person tasks for two to three residents
- supportive conversations and daily contact with the residents
- support for structure, activities and social communities
- recovery-oriented rehabilitation
- personal care and health care tasks depending on your professional background – training offered
- medication management – training offered
- documentation and follow-up on residents' goals and development
- close cooperation with colleagues and other partners
Experience is valued, but not essential. The most important for us is that you are passionate about working with people with mental vulnerability/double diagnoses and want to be a stable and professional presence in their everyday life.
At Boserupvej we operate from Low Arousal 2 (LA2)
- All employees are trained in the LA2 method
- We have several LA2-certified staff and managers
- We also work with psychosocial rehabilitation, one’s own recovery process and NADA
Our professional approach is based on the resident's perspective. We work with relationships and safety as a foundation and with targeted documentation so that we can together monitor development and adjust the effort.
We are looking for you who
- has a relevant social- or health-related education (e.g. SOSU assistant, pedagogue, social pedagogue, nurse, occupational therapist, psychomotor therapist, etc.)
- are interested in working within social psychiatry – experience from the social sector is an advantage but not a requirement
- can work independently and at the same time actively participate in a multidisciplinary community
- are curious, reflective and can see multiple perspectives in the work
- meet the residents with respect, calm and decency
- can create overview and follow up on agreements and tasks
- see documentation as a natural part of the professional effort
We offer
- a meaningful job close to the residents in a safe and professionally strong community
- thorough introduction and ongoing supervision
- courses and skills development
- good opportunities to develop your professional skills and apply your competencies
- a workplace with different professional backgrounds, experiences and perspectives
- the possibility after two years of relevant experience to take a diploma module in rehabilitation in collaboration with the City of Copenhagen
Employment terms
Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation.
The working time is 37 hours per week with mixed day and evening shifts and weekend work every 3rd week.
You will join a fixed base rota, so you know your working hours well in advance.
We want to fill the positions by December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible.
In connection with the appointment we will obtain a criminal record certificate as well as references.
