About the job

Do you want to make a difference for the citizens of Region Midtjylland when they need health care support at night? Then Lægevagtens Natberedskab might be just the thing for you.

As Visitationssygeplejersker (triage nurses) you will be tasked with triaging the citizens in Region Midtjylland who contact Lægevagtens Natberedskab during the night hours.

Here you will help determine what the right kind of help for the patients is – whether it is guidance for self-care and a referral to contact their GP the next day, an appointment in one of the two consultations, a home visit from the out-of-hours service or perhaps a hospital admission.

You will work with one patient at a time, completing each patient course before starting a new one.

You will be part of a team of triage nurses including doctors and nurses, with a close camaraderie and opportunities for professional sparring.

What can you get with us?

  • Lægevagtens Natberedskab: You join the team where we work together to lift the task and help the patients.
  • A good start: You start with buddy training, and we help you settle into the role.
  • Development and learning: We ensure you have a solid professional basis for triaging Lægevagt patients. You will complete a short training program that builds on your existing nursing and telephone triage knowledge.
  • Interdisciplinarity and community: We work across disciplines and prioritize a good work environment both physically and mentally.
  • Flexibility: We plan your shift schedule based on your preferences.

Who are you?

We would like to hear from you if you are a licensed nurse with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience. If you also have experience with telephone triage of patients, that is an advantage.

In addition, we value that you…

  • Have a structured approach to triaging patients and thrive with this.
  • Want to bring your professional expertise into play and contribute to the development of the pre-hospital area.
  • Communicate in a friendly, clear and precise manner.
  • Maintain an overview in pressured situations, and you are trustworthy and calm.
  • Are good at collaborating across professional groups and across the organization.
  • Act independently, but also know when you need to confer with the doctor.
  • Are comfortable using IT as your primary work tool. Including in relation to triaging patients using video.
