Therefore we are looking for a Category Manager for our procurement function, who will help set the direction for the Food category and translate market insights, innovation, and commercial opportunities into solutions that create value for both customers and the business.

About the position

As Category Manager you will be responsible for developing and shaping one of ISS Denmark's largest and most strategically important categories. You will be a central driver in realizing our Food strategy toward 2029 and will have the opportunity to make a clear imprint on the customer experience, supplier landscape, and our commercial development.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term category strategies that support our growth ambitions, customer promises, and sustainability goals.

The role is for you if you want to combine category development, commercial insight, and strategic partnerships. You will work across the entire value chain and collaborate closely with operations, sales, customers, suppliers, and international ISS colleagues to shape the future Food solutions.

Your influence spans a broad scope—from assortment strategy and sourcing to development of new concepts, sustainable alternatives, and future partnership models.

Your main responsibilities are to

• Develop and implement the Food category strategy toward 2029
• Drive the development of the Food category through market insight, innovation, and close collaboration with strategic suppliers
• Analyze market, price, and consumer trends and translate insights into concrete business initiatives
• Support ISS’s sustainability agenda, including reducing the climate footprint, responsible procurement, and developing more sustainable assortments
• Collaborate closely with operations, sales, Food teams and customers to develop competitive Food solutions

The position is based at our Danish head office in Copenhagen NV , and we offer flexibility in planning both location and working hours.

About you

You are curious, commercially oriented, and motivated to challenge the status quo. You see opportunities across the value chain, create long-term results, and can bring people together around common goals. At the same time, you can balance economics, sustainability, quality, and customer experience in your decisions.

We imagine that you

• Have experience with Category Management, category development, strategic procurement, or commercial development within Food, FMCG, Foodservice, or related categories
• Have experience with complex negotiations and building value-creating supplier partnerships
• Are interested in trends within food, sustainability, innovation, and consumer behavior
• Can document results with category development and translating market insights into concrete business value
• Communicate professionally in both Danish and English

Your background could be from FMCG, Foodservice, catering, retail, or food production, where you may have worked with category development, assortment, sourcing, commercial partnerships, or business development. Your current title is not decisive. The most important is that you are motivated to translate market opportunities into results and want greater strategic influence on the development of a category.
