About the task

You will become part of a fixed team around an adult citizen with a progressing ALS. The citizen has extensive support needs and requires help with both care, mobility and respiratory treatment.

The task takes place in the citizen's own home, where you with respect and situational awareness help create a calm and secure everyday life. It is important that the citizen meets fixed, recognizable and present employees who thrive with close 1:1 contact.

The tasks include personal care, respiratory monitoring and treatment, transfers and support with meals.

Your tasks will include

·           Respiratory monitoring and treatment

·           Handling of mask equipment

·           Full assistance with personal care

·           Transfers with ceiling lift

·           Support with meals

You will be thoroughly trained in both the care duties and the respiratory treatment. The training is arranged so that you feel secure, safe and well prepared before you handle the shifts independently.

Shifts and employment

·           One full-time position with about 10–12 shifts per month

·           12-hour waking shifts

·           A combination of day and night shifts – primarily day shifts

·           The work plan is known four weeks ahead

To ensure stability in the team, we expect you to be flexible in covering for illness and vacation.

We are looking for you who

·           Meet others with calm, warmth and respect

·           Are stable, responsible and good at creating security

·           Have an eye for small details and can read a situation

·           Thrive with long shifts, 1:1 contact and close team collaboration

·           Have experience from the care field – an advantage but not a requirement

·           Wish for a fixed assignment where relationships and continuity matter greatly
