Your day-to-day with us

At Medical Ward 1 you will gain in-depth knowledge of many medical conditions and, thanks to the ward's diverse patient pathways, broaden your medical competencies, and have the opportunity to develop specialized skills in nephrology, endocrinology or gastroenterology.

Each shift starts together with your colleagues, where we together form the team and distribute the day’s tasks. As a nurse with us, you should know that we can rely on each other, and that together we get the day’s tasks solved. We know that no one can know everything, but everyone can do something, and together we can do most!

Your professional development

We know how important it is to feel safe and competent in your work. Therefore you will receive an individually tailored introduction program and your own mentor who accompanies you in the first period. We have also hired a dedicated nurse who is responsible for competence development at the ward. She is responsible, among other things, for the introduction of newly employed staff and organizes training in relevant topics.

In your introductory program, you are the most important, so you will have co-responsibility for the development of your competencies and tasks together with the competence development nurse and your mentor.

Your new team

As a nurse at Medical Ward 1 you will become a central part of our multidisciplinary team. The team surrounding the patient consists of both social- and health care assistants, social and health helpers, therapists, service assistants, doctors and the primary sector and not least the relatives. You will become part of an engaged staff group where we have room for different personalities and levels of experience. We value both our "gray gold", our green sprouters and everyone in between, because we know that diversity makes us stronger.

We know that it is important that private life and work life go hand in hand for the individual.

Therefore we offer

• Flexible shift planning with a "free weekend rotation", which means that you have influence over which weekends you work. You will work 2 weekends in 6 weeks, a third of these will be 12-hour shifts.
• Possibility to adjust working hours to your needs
• Dialogue about your wishes for shifts and working hours, but as a starting point you should be able to work both day, evening and night.
• The position is initially 37 hours, but individual adaptations can be considered

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement in the field.

With reference to the Act on Child Certificates in connection with the employment of staff, a child certificate will be obtained in connection with possible employment.
