About the job
Bioanalyst for Blood Tests and Biochemistry, Hematology Section
Do you thrive in a strong professional environment where collaboration, patient contact and good collegiality go hand in hand? Then you may be our new bioanalyst in the Hematology section? We have a permanent position from 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
We offer
An amazing section where we place a very high value on responsibility, safety and a good working environment. We want good collaboration and emphasize an informal tone and a positive approach to work, which rubs off on colleagues and patients. We help each other in everyday life and prioritize that new colleagues quickly become part of the community. In the Hematology section you will be met by our mentoring team, who will welcome you and provide ongoing follow-up until you feel secure both socially and professionally in the department.
Duties
You will become part of a dedicated team of 18 bioanalysts, who every day work to deliver analyses of high quality for the benefit of the patients. We emphasize development, professional sparring and knowledge sharing.
Most of the analyses in the Hematology section are performed on automated equipment connected to a belt-free solution. In addition, manual differential counting and specialized hematological examinations are performed.
The position gives you a varied workday with both patient contact and laboratory work, where you will, among other things, gain experience with analyses on Sysmex XR9000 and HbA1c equipment, and have the opportunity to develop competencies within other analytical areas.
In the Hematology section you will be part of on-call work around the clock. On-call work includes both sampling at the clinical departments and analysis work in our 24/7 laboratory.
Qualifications
We expect that you are a licensed bioanalyst and emphasize that you
- work in a structured way with a high level of professional expertise
- are meticulous, responsible and reliably present
- are a good colleague who contributes positively to collaboration and the working environment
- thrive with both patient contact and laboratory work
- maintain calm and overview, even when things move quickly.
Blood Tests and Biochemistry
Blood Tests and Biochemistry have more than 300 employees. We have annually around 1.4 million patient contacts and issue around 13 million analytical results. The services are performed for the hospital's clinical departments and the region's general practitioners. A number of special analyses are also performed for other hospitals. The department's strategic ambition is to take blood samples and perform biochemical analyses to benefit patient treatment.
In the department, a good working environment is highly prioritized, and currently there is a special focus on the psychological work environment, which all employees are expected to contribute positively to.
Application
If you would like to be part of our section that delivers high quality with the patient in focus, please send an application describing your competencies, interests and who you are as a person.
The position is 37 hours per week with on-call duty 24-7.
To be considered, please attach your CV and diploma including transcript.
Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory criminal-record certificate and a satisfactory authorization.
If you have questions about the position or would like to hear more about daily life in the section, you are welcome to contact Senior Bioanalyst Lone Siig at tel. 2151 6633 or at [email protected] .
The application deadline is 8 November 2026 and interviews are expected to be held in week 47.
