About the job

Would you like to be part of a highly specialized department where professionalism, technology and good collegiality go hand in hand?

We are a large department with skilled and engaged bioanalysts, who are looking for new colleagues who want to become part of our everyday life. You don’t need to be able to do everything from the start. The most important is that you are curious, engaged and eager to learn.

With us you get the opportunity to work in a highly specialized microbiological department, where professionalism, development, technology and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life. We are constantly working to develop our diagnostics, methods and workflows - and the coming years will bring many exciting changes.

About the department

Clinical Microbiology Department deals with the examination of patient samples with a view to diagnosing infectious diseases. We use bacteriological, serological and molecular biological methods for diagnostics. The department serves hospitals, private hospitals, general practitioners and specialists, and handles more than 1 million samples annually.

The department has a strong focus on development and research. We work both with development of new knowledge and with optimization of the methods and workflows we already use. At the same time we have a strong focus on quality assurance, competence development and on delivering the best service and guidance.

We also participate in the education of, among others, bioanalysts and physicians.

About the laboratory

The laboratory consists of 2 sections, the bacteriological and the molecular biologic/serological. In total we are 72 bioanalysts and assistants who handle the daily operations. In addition there is 1 specialist and 5 molecular biologists who support daily work.

Here we work with a wide range of methods and technologies and with both newer and more established laboratory equipment. You should therefore enjoy working with technology and be curious about how new technologies, AI and automation can support the microbiological diagnostics and operations.

It requires curiosity, adaptability and a desire to think workflows in new ways - and in return you will have the opportunity to be an active part of a department where technology, professionalism and development go hand in hand.

We believe that a good working environment and high well-being are created together. Therefore, humor, inclusion, respect and trust mean a lot to us - both within the individual teams and across the entire department.

What we expect

You are educated as a bioanalyst, but you do not need to have experience from clinical microbiology. We provide a thorough introduction and training based on your skills and experience.

We place emphasis on you being curious, engaged and eager to learn. You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks while contributing to the community and good collaboration. You are reliable and flexible and you thrive in a daily life where things happen and where workflows, technology and methods are continuously evolving.

You have a flair for IT and technical equipment and work in a structured and systematic way with an eye for quality and detail. You greet your colleagues with humor and respect, and contribute to a good working environment.

It is not essential that you can do everything in advance. The essential is that you want to learn it.

We offer

With us you get a daily life where you can both use the expertise you bring and develop yourself - professionally and personally.

You will become part of a department with high professionalism, advanced laboratory technology and focus on development and automation. You will receive a thorough introduction and training, and your skills development will be planned based on you and your experiences.

Everyday includes close interdisciplinary collaboration with, among others, bioanalysts, specialists, doctors and molecular biologists. You will have a varied daily life with opportunities to learn new things and to help develop both methods, workflows and our way of working.

And of course you will have good colleagues, humor and a working environment where well-being, respect and togetherness matter. We also have social events and joint activities - both in and outside the department.

Terms of employment

The positions have on-call duty. You will join the department's on-call roster, which for now covers weekends, holidays and evening work until 22:00 on weekdays.

Salary and terms of employment follow the collective agreement for non-management staff and agreements between Dbio and Regions’ Remuneration and Tariff Board with salary placement as a bioanalyst. You can find your starting salary via this link: See the region's overview of starting salaries here.

Application procedure

We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and also have positions to fill in the new year.

In your application you may tell us whether you have a particular interest in the bacteriological section or the molecular biology/serology section - or whether you are open to new challenges and want to get to know the whole department.

If you want to know more about the positions, you are welcome to contact senior bioanalyst Louise Jørgensen (bacteriology) at tel.: 21 84 66 93 or senior bioanalyst Mahvish Ikram (molecular biology) at tel.: 23 42 03 56.
