About the job
The core tasks of the Clinical Biochemistry Department are blood sampling and ECG, analysis work, quality assurance and reporting of results. At start you will receive an individual introduction program, where you are trained in local guidelines and procedures, with special focus on the pre-analytical area, document management system and accreditation. Pre-analyses covers blood sampling and ECG recording, where contact with the patient is in focus. This applies to admitted patients on the hospital's wards, our blood sampling outpatients, citizens at home and in The Common Emergency Department. Blood sampling includes venipuncture and capillary sampling in patients of all ages and from all patient groups.
POCT includes the department's decentralized analysis equipment at the hospital and in the local healthcare sector. The POCT group in Aalborg has the overall professional and coordinating responsibility for the POCT area across the hospital's other sites and works closely with local colleagues on daily task solving, quality assurance, teaching and development of the area. With the new health reform we face new and exciting tasks and collaboration opportunities.
