About the job
Do you have the desire and courage to try your hand at the biochemical specialty, we are currently seeking a bioanalyst for a maternity leave cover in the Multi 2 section.
We offer
An department where we place a high value on responsibility, safety, and a good working environment. We aim for good collaboration and emphasize an informal tone and a positive approach to work that reflects on colleagues and patients.
We help each other in daily work and prioritize that new colleagues quickly become part of the community. You will be greeted by one of our mentors, who will welcome you and continually follow up until you feel confident both socially and professionally in the department.
Responsibilities
You will become part of a dedicated team of 23 bioanalysts, who all rotate between laboratory tasks and pre-analytical tasks in both the clinical departments and in the sampling units.
In the laboratory, analysis focuses mainly on hormones, vitamins, and tumor markers. A large part of the analyses support both the department's and the hospital's highly specialized functions, e.g. in relation to paraproteinemia/M-component, vitamin B12, adrenal diseases, as well as disturbances in sex hormones and copper metabolism. The section has several LC/MS instruments and also performs, among other things, immunochemical analyses and capillary electrophoresis. The laboratory work is diverse, as some analyses are high-frequency and relatively automated, while others require more manual handling.
We divide the sampling task in the northern part of the hospital in collaboration with three other sections – both during the day on weekdays as well as in shifts around the clock every day of the year.
THE EMERGENCY department and Psychiatry are among the departments located in this area, and you will therefore be part of the team that handles sampling for these patient groups. Part of this work involves a high degree of collaboration with the hospital's other clinical staff.
The employment period for the temporary position is from December 1, 2026 to October 31, 2027.
Questions may be directed to senior bioanalyst Lisbeth Fyrstenborg Christensen at email [email protected].
Qualifications
We expect that you have the following qualifications
- are a licensed bioanalyst
- maintain calm and overview, even when things are moving quickly
- are thorough, responsible, loyal, hardworking, and with good attendance
- enjoy patient contact
- are a good colleague who focuses on everyone’s working environment
- experience is an advantage but not a requirement, as training will take place
- that you can speak Danish.
