About RENTEQ Automotive

RENTEQ Automotive is a young Danish company with an ambition to reduce CO₂ emissions by electrifying vans and construction machinery. We are based in Gedved and take care of the whole journey – from engineering and development all the way to production.

Your role

As our welder you will translate drawings into the finished parts that go into our products. From our workshop in Gedved you will weld and fit trailers, load-bearing frames and the other steel components that form the backbone of our machine conversions. Much of the material will come from our own CNC bending machine and laser cutter.

This is not just an assembly line – there will be many different projects, and you must be able to think independently. You will work closely with the engineering and production team, be able to contribute to problem solving early, and help us build smarter from one cycle to the next.

Your tasks

• Weld load-bearing frames, chassis parts and structures – MIG and TIG depending on material and specification
• Build, weld and fit trailers and the other parts that are part of the machine conversion
• Fit and post-process welds – squaring, grinding and checking fit
• Read and interpret technical drawings and translate them into finished parts
• Quality control of your own work – dimensional checks, weld quality and fit – before it goes to production
• Collaborate with the engineering team to identify design issues and provide practical feedback
• Keep the workshop organized, equipment maintained and processes documented
• Support prototype iterations – expect frequent design changes and several projects running simultaneously.

Is this you?

Do you have practical experience in welding & metalworking – it could be from a craft education, technical high school or real workshop experience?

It would be an advantage if you can check most of the following

• Experienced welder – MIG and TIG
• Experience with trailer, chassis or structural welding is a big plus
• Comfortable with common metalworking tools – angle grinder, plasma/gas cutter and alignment tool
• Able to read and work from technical drawings and 3D models
• Eye for detail: you measure twice and are proud of precise, neat work
• Thrives in a team where no day is the same
• Proactive – you identify problems early rather than letting them become someone else’s problem
• Danish at a high level and functioning English, as we are an international team.
