Become a childminder in District Glavendrup – and make a difference for the little ones

Do you have solid experience with pedagogical work with the youngest children - perhaps you are trained PAU or pedagogue - and would you like to become a day-care provider? Then we are looking for a day-care provider in the Glavendrup district.

Can you be a carer for 4-5 small children and engage in pedagogical work in your own home, parental collaboration and collegial cooperation in the playroom once a week, with positivity, professional focus and willingness? Then it may be you we are looking for.

You must be able to provide a safe and inspiring home with good possibilities both indoors and outdoors to create an exciting everyday life for four fixed day-care children. There will be an opportunity to take in a fifth child when necessary. You must be able to work and keep your home open 48 hours a week.

You should apply for the position if you have professional interest, experience and a passion for developing children aged 0-3 years. You are a world champion at ensuring good contact with children, parents, colleagues and management, so that we can together create a day-care with high quality.

You will become part of Dagtilbudsdistrikt Glavendrup, which consists of five kindergartens, 12 fixed day-care providers and a guest day-care provider distributed in Søndersø, Særslev and Skamby. Your closest colleagues will be your day-care group, which you together meet in the playroom once a week at Birkemose Børnehus.

In Dagtilbud Glavendrup we always have the children and their common and individual needs in focus when we plan and adjust our daily life and the pedagogical activities. We experience that a clear structure in everyday life helps children to feel calm for absorption and play, and we therefore want a colleague who can help support this.

To become skilled in our profession we know that professional reflection on one's own practice is necessary. You must therefore be ready to adjust your practice when the task calls for it. Children do the best they can, and as professionals it is our responsibility to try something new if our practice does not work.

You must be able to ask for help and sparring from your colleagues, your immediate supervisor and our resource center. You should also have the courage to let others look closely at your practice, so that we can develop it together for the benefit of the children's well-being.

We work from Nordfyns Municipality's common view of children, which should be seen as a dynamic view of children that supports the pedagogical practice:

"The individual child has opinions and thoughts that are meaningful. The child has the potential to think and the desire to communicate with and understand its world. The child is independent, co-creating and a competent actor in their own life, who will develop and express themselves in community and with others"

It is important that you can commit to the common view of children, as it is the professionals' responsibility that our view of children is 'visible' and taken seriously in our pedagogical work.

We are looking for a day-care provider who

• has a cheerful and playful mind, and can work at child height
• has ideas and is proactive with play and various activities
• has the ability to positively guide and lead in the children's well-being, development and learning
• is willing to work independently and show responsibility in daily work
• focuses on contributing to a good working environment, both in their own home and in the playroom
• can ensure a good parent collaboration
• sees life and their work with a positive outlook and meets challenges with an attitude of "we’ll figure it out"
• has good IT skills, as you will be expected to navigate in daily life e.g. Aula, KMD system "Min Dagpleje", Outlook and Teams
• can participate in professional online meetings during lunch breaks when the children are sleeping

Home approval

To be considered for the position, we assess both your professionalism and your home, which must be approved as a day-care home. You should therefore expect to be contacted as soon as you have sent your application.

We will only invite candidates for interviews if their home can be approved.

To be employed and approved as a day-care provider, a satisfactory child‑care certificate must be obtained for the applicant, their spouse/common-law partner, and resident children over 15 years old.

The expected salary range will be disclosed at the first interview. The final salary is determined based on your qualifications and previous professional experience and after specific negotiation with the professional organization.
