About the job
We are looking for you who want co-responsibility for the management, operation and development of environmental therapy and nursing in the department.
Do you want to make a real difference for people with both mental illness and addiction?
Do you thrive in a dedicated, multidisciplinary environment where professionalism, relationships and development go hand in hand?
Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for!
Who are we?
Section M21 is part of Department M at the Psychiatric Centre Sct. Hans, which specializes in dual diagnosis treatment – i.e. treatment of patients with both a mental disorder and concurrent substance dependence.
We offer voluntary treatment programs (inpatient admission), where patients are typically admitted for about 3 months, and where work is based on a systematic patient pathway description and a manualized cognitive behavioral therapy treatment program.
We work purposefully with cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational work and skills training – both in the individual treatment of patients and in the group therapy, which is a large part of the treatment. The use of coercion is an exception.
M21 is an open ward with 26 beds and is divided into two teams – East and West. You will take responsibility for the daily collaboration and coordination of one team. The two assistant ward leaders have a close collaboration with the chief nurse, the senior physician and the clinical nursing specialist.
We are located in scenic surroundings by Roskilde Fjord and Boserup Forest – a place that can easily be used in the treatment of patients. We take well-being and professionalism seriously and there is weekly supervision with the department’s psychologist as well as professional sparring for 30 minutes every day.
Your role and tasks
As an assistant ward leader you will be a professional role model and daily sparring partner for a strong team. You will be an active participant in the leadership room and handle both managerial and clinical tasks. The most important task as assistant ward leader is to be able to gather and support the team in a respectful and professional manner.
You will
- create frameworks for learning and development among employees and students
- participate in the daily work with patient pathways, conversations and treatment
- actively work with CBT – both individually and in group therapy
- coordinate contact person teams
- participate in/handle board meetings
- ensure staffing and competence coverage in daily life when acute needs arise
- participate in planning, supervision and implementation of development initiatives
- handle managerial tasks during the absence of the chief nurse
… and much more.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who
- are a licensed nurse – with experience from psychiatry
- are clear and present and can motivate both colleagues and patients
- are interested in leadership and want to develop yourself in a leading role
- are professionally curious and want to work with CBT
- have a respectful, appreciative and empathetic approach
Therefore you should choose us
- We provide a thorough and tailored introduction
- Further education in cognitive behavioral therapy and participation in group treatment
- Daily sparring, weekly supervision and teaching
- Opportunity to help shape the department's culture and development
- Close collaboration with a colleague in a similar position
- Beautiful surroundings and focus on the importance of nature in treatment
- Opportunity for courses and competency development, e.g. Leadership of functions (LAFU) and Competence groups with all assistant ward leaders at the Psychiatric Centre Sct. Hans
Salary and employment terms
This is a full-time position, which can be started on December 1, 2026 or by agreement.
The ward is staffed around the clock, and you will therefore be hired for mixed shifts but predominantly day shifts in accordance with the rules of the applicable staff wage agreement.
Weekend work will as a rule be every 4 weeks but can be arranged further when employed.
You are employed under the collective agreement for non-management staff in the health sector with the salary placement as a nurse. You are during your employment covered by the applicable working time agreement entered into between the Regions’ Salary and Rate Board and the Danish Nurses Organization.
You are employed as a nurse in the Capital Region of Denmark with service initially at the Psychiatric Centre Sct. Hans, Department M, Section M21.
