What will you work with?

As a social- and health care assistant trainee you will learn among other things to

• support the citizen in managing daily life as best as possible
• provide personal care and practical help based on each citizen's needs
• work with health promotion, prevention and rehabilitation
• create good relationships and communicate professionally with citizens and relatives
• collaborate with colleagues and other professional groups
• document your work and follow up on the citizen's progress.

You will learn to meet people with respect and an understanding that all citizens have different needs, wishes and life situations.

You do not need to know everything in advance. The most important thing is that you want to learn and are ready to take responsibility for your education.

How the education takes place

The education alternates between school and apprenticeship. You are employed by Solrød Municipality during the education, and your school periods take place at ZBC SOSU Køge.

When you have completed the social- and health care assistant education, you will have the opportunity to work in home care, at care centers and in other citizen-near functions in the health and care field.

Practical information

Education start: January 18, 2027

Entry requirements: Completion of 9th or 10th grade with 02 in Danish and mathematics

Duration of the education: The education lasts about 1 year and 7 months including Basic Training 2, if you have Basic Training 2 the education lasts 1 year and 2 months.

Salary (monthly salary as of October 1, 2026)

Social- and Health Care Assistant under 25 years: 14,325 DKK

Social- and Health Care Assistant 25 years and over: 25,777 DKK.
