Board consultant with strong political understanding

We are looking for an engaged networker for the role of board consultant at DAB-Lejerbo

With us you get a varied daily life, where you are a sparring partner for tenant-elected boards and advise tenant democrats in a politically governed world. Together with a strong multidisciplinary team you create good frameworks for the residents through insight, understanding and close relationships.

Your role

As a board consultant you will be an important piece in a multidisciplinary team with operations manager, operations assistant and regional manager. You will have a coordinating role and will focus on giving tenant democracy political sparring. The team collaborates with other professional groups with specialist knowledge in areas such as construction, finance and law.

A large part of your role is to collaborate with the tenant-elected boards, who decide what happens in the housing departments. You understand that when it comes to people and their homes, it requires a fine balance for different opinions and views to meet. Therefore you must be good at building and maintaining relationships. At the same time you advise the boards on what they can and may do in relation to the law, and the consequences of the decisions they make.

Here is a sample of the tasks awaiting you

• Board support for department boards, including guidance and sparring
• Prepare agendas and minutes
• Participation and possible facilitation in meetings with residents and boards
• Participation in department meetings with review of budgets and accounts and undertake the role of chair
• Case handling with preparation of notes, applications, implementation of decisions and more.
• We hold meetings with the boards in the members' free time. This means that you in periods have evening meetings.

Who are you

You are outgoing and good at creating and maintaining relationships. You can keep an overview, even when it is busy, and you are good at communicating clearly and understandably.

Two days rarely look the same, and as a central point of contact for the board you must be able to shift focus from planned tasks to new inquiries along the way. It requires flexibility, structure and the ability to continuously prioritize and complete your tasks on time.

We are looking for someone who has a higher education or relevant experience from a similar position. You understand the special framework conditions that characterize a politically governed environment where tenant democracy is central, and it is the board that has the final decision-making authority.

Who we are

Regions Office Copenhagen North 4 with 11 dedicated employees is seeking a new colleague to take on the role of board consultant attached to housing organizations in the metropolitan area. The workplace is in Valby, but meetings in the housing organizations take place locally.

In DAB-Lejerbo we lift the core tasks in a professional environment where service and advice to the tenant democracy are provided with a basis in a strong local presence. There is close collaboration in the organization, easy access to sparring and leadership, which creates a strong professional and social community.
