Børnehuset Nordstjernen is looking for an educator with a strong child-centered approach

A well-functioning kindergarten seeks a pedagogue with start date December 1, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is 32-37 hours per week dependent on your own preferences for weekly employment rate.

We are looking for a pedagogue who wants to create a daily life full of play, learning and presence – with nature as an active partner, as Engen is where the position is available. Nordstjernen has wonderful natural areas, a cozy atmosphere and a location close to the fjord, which we love to explore together with the children.

Quality at the child and adult level

Nordstjernen is known for being a kindergarten with high quality in the pedagogical environment. In the coming years there will be extra focus on further developing the quality at the child level in Nordstjernen, because we have applied and been selected to participate in “Alle Børns dagtilbud”. A national development project funded by the Lego Foundation, where we together with the Professionshøjskolen Absalon, and the Municipal Development Center Komponent will become even better at all that benefits children's well-being.

Børnehuset Nordstjernen is a diverse kindergarten with two baby groups, two preschool groups and a base group. Due to the differences in our offerings we focus on ensuring professional sparring across, so we plan good pedagogical differentiated learning environments, depending on what the child group calls for.

In the kindergarten we have growth spots, which is a middle form for children who need extra support and structure so their everyday life becomes safe, recognizable and filled with development. Therefore we work with good organization and fixed routines as well as visual support.

We always focus on children's communities and learning at child height, and our lovely outdoor space provides room for both big arm movements and small curious adventures.
