Børnehuset Villa Kulla is a newly built day care center in two floors in the southern part of Rødovre. There are three kindergarten groups and four nursery groups. Our house has personality, the surroundings are bright and welcoming and the playground is large. In Villa Kulla we have a diverse group of children and parents and a focus on language and culture. The staff have also completed training in the Canadian Hanen program. We put children and families at the center and value close and supportive collaboration with the parents.

At Villa Kulla you will lead about 24 staff of various ages. The staff group is actively involved in professional development and for a house in motion.

Over the past year, management and staff have worked purposefully to strengthen the children’s play and participation opportunities. The physical learning environments have been “Villa Kulla-fied.” To create safety and presence for the children, thematic play zones have been created to support immersion, imagination and small play communities. The staff work consciously with organizing into smaller groups and pedagogical positioning so that all children experience themselves as valuable participants in the community.

In Rødovre Municipality we prioritize leadership highly. As leader of Børnehuset Villa Kulla you will have overall leadership responsibility and the opportunity to set a clear professional direction. You will work closely with the house’s deputy head, who is on full-time leadership. You will become part of the Early Childhood Department, where the distance to leadership and consultants at the town hall is short and we work closely together on ongoing quality development.

We are seeking a leader who wants to continue the development of Børnehuset Villa Kulla based on the Strengthened Pedagogical Curriculum and ensure the framework for the children’s well-being, learning, development and formation. You know the Daycare Act and have experience with implementing a culture of reflection and evaluation.

• As a leader you must focus on differentiated and developmental work with and around the children. The pedagogical bar must be set high so that all children have real and relevant participation opportunities.
• You are clear, ambitious and relational in your leadership style and able to involve others and create followership. You are good at communicating orally and in writing to different audiences and professional themes.
• As a leader you should be keen to continue developing the parent collaboration, and you see the parent board work as a resource.
• You have a leadership education at diplôme level or are willing to undertake it. You are appreciative and listening and can make professionally well-founded decisions.
• You have digital flair and you can create coherence between the pedagogical effort, financial management and administrative tasks.
• As a leader you must also be able to navigate the inter-professional collaboration with our Pedagogical Development Center/PPR, Health Visitors and with the Children and Family Department.

The Early Childhood Department has a shared leadership group totaling 21 leaders. We are curious about each other’s actions and processes so that we succeed together. The leadership group meets, among other things, in reflection, development and learning groups. You will, together with other early childhood leaders and the administration’s management and consultants, be part of one of the four working groups that develop the quality of the Early Childhood Area.

In addition, you will get a leadership colleague as a mentor who can help you at the start of your employment, so there is an opportunity for close sparring.

We work toward the same goal, where the Daycare Act, the Strengthened Pedagogical Curriculum and a shared binding quality understanding are the primary reference. In addition, we have close cooperation across Rødovre, and we are always working to have the best collaboration interfaces with our cross-disciplinary partners including the Children and Family Department, PPR, etc.
