Villa Kulla Daycare is a newly built two-storey day care in the southern part of Rødovre. There are three kindergarten groups and four nursery groups. Our house has personality, the surroundings are bright and inviting and the play area is large. At Villa Kulla we have a diverse group of children and parents and a focus on language and culture. Staff have also completed training in the Canadian Hanen program. We put children and families at the center and value a close and supportive collaboration with the parents.

In Villa Kulla you will lead around 24 employees of various ages. The staff group is actively involved in professional development and for a house that is moving forward.

Over the past year, management and staff have worked purposefully to strengthen the children's play and opportunities for participation. The physical learning environments have been 'Villa Kulla-fied'. To create safety and presence for the children, thematic play zones have been set up that support immersion, imagination and small play communities. The staff deliberately work with organizing into smaller groups and pedagogical positioning, so that all children experience themselves as valuable participants in the community.

In Rødovre Municipality we prioritize leadership highly. As the leader of Villa Kulla Children's House you will have overall managerial responsibility and the opportunity to set a clear professional direction. You will work closely with the house's deputy head, who is on full-time management. You will become part of the Early Childhood Education area, where the distance to management and consultants at the town hall is short and we work closely on ongoing quality development.

Your profile

We are looking for a leader who will continue the development of Villa Kulla Children's House based on the Strengthened Pedagogical Curriculum and ensure the framework for children's well-being, learning, development and formation. You know the Daycare Act and have experience implementing a culture of reflection and evaluation.

• As a leader you should focus on differentiated and developmental work with and around the children. The pedagogical bar must be set high so that all children have real and relevant participation opportunities.
• You are clear, ambitious and relational in your leadership style and able to engage and create followers. You are good at communicating verbally and in writing to different audiences and professional themes.
• As a leader you should want to continue developing the collaboration with parents, and you see the parent board work as a resource.
• You have a leadership education at diploma level or are willing to pursue it. You are appreciative and listening and can make professionally well-founded decisions.
• You have digital flair and can create coherence between pedagogical efforts, financial management and administrative tasks.
• As a leader you must also be able to navigate cross-disciplinary collaboration with our Pedagogical Development Center/PPR, Health Visitors and the Children and Family Department.
• When you start with us, we will have a thorough intro program so you can get off to a good start. You will be part of our inter-municipal leadership forum, where you enter a leadership network that will strengthen our cross-disciplinary work

The Daycare Area has a common leadership group of 21 leaders in total. We are curious about each other’s actions and processes so that we succeed together. The leadership group meets in reflection, development and learning groups. Together with other daycare leaders and the management and consultants of the administration, you will be part of one of the four working groups that develop quality in the Daycare Area. In addition you will get a leadership colleague as a mentor who can help you at the start of your employment, so there is an opportunity for close sparring.

We work towards the same goal, where the Daycare Act, the Strengthened Pedagogical Curriculum and common binding quality understanding are the primary guide. We strive to be professionally disagreeing to develop our area. In addition we have close cross-department collaboration in Rødovre, and we are constantly working to have the best collaboration interfaces with our cross-disciplinary partners including the Children and Family Department, PPR etc.
