About the job
An exciting combined position where you have the opportunity to work with both CT scanning and radiotherapy.
Do you want to use your radiography professional competencies in a high-tech specialty where precision, technical skill and presence with cancer patients go hand in hand?
At Stråleklinik Vest we offer an exciting combined position where you will have the opportunity to work with both CT scanning and radiotherapy. You will become part of an engaged, multidisciplinary team where we work together to give patients the best possible treatment and experience. Stråleklinik Vest is part of the Cancer Department at Aarhus University Hospital, but is physically located at Regionshospitalet Gødstrup.
We are a clinic in development where professionalism, collaboration and patient care are at the core of our daily work.
A daily life with both CT scanning and radiotherapy
As an S-radiographer with us you will have a versatile workday, where you combine your competencies within imaging diagnostics and radiotherapy.
You will have a role at our CT scanner, where you, together with a colleague, perform preparation, positioning, fixation and scanning of patients who are to receive radiotherapy.
The CT scan forms the basis for the subsequent dose planning and is thus an important part of the patient’s treatment process. You will play a central role in ensuring correct and reproducible patient positioning, high image quality and precise execution of the scans. The work requires anatomical understanding, technical insight and attention to detail – while at the same time you through information, care and presence help create security for the patient.
The remaining time you will be involved in the work at our accelerators, where you, together with your colleagues, handle the daily radiotherapy.
You will thus have the opportunity to follow the patient’s course from the initial CT scan to the subsequent radiotherapy and bring your competencies into play across the treatment pathway.
A strong professional and social community
We focus on creating safe and coherent patient pathways where high professional quality and care go hand in hand.
Our culture is characterized by openness, humor and an informal tone. We help each other, share our knowledge and prioritise a working environment where there is room for both professional deepening, sparring and collegial support.
With us you have the opportunity to
- combine your radiography competencies within CT scanning and radiotherapy
- work with advanced technology where precision, image quality and patient safety are essential
- follow and support cancer patients through longer treatment courses
- work in small, fixed teams where professional sparring and collegial support are a natural part of daily life
- collaborate closely with different professional groups on planning and carrying out radiotherapy
- become part of a dedicated and welcoming team where we value job satisfaction, inclusivity and community highly.
Working hours are primarily weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with the exception of a few holidays or evenings.
We offer you
- a structured and individually tailored introduction program
- qualified teaching and ongoing competence development
- a fixed mentor who supports and guides you in the first period in the clinic
- a professional environment with good opportunities for sparring and development
- influence on shift and vacation planning as well as good possibilities for flexibility.
We are looking for you who
- are a trained radiographer with radiotherapy as your specialization
- are interested in both CT scanning and radiotherapy and are motivated to combine the two areas
- work carefully and systematically with focus on quality and patient safety
- can maintain an overview in a busy daily life with complex challenges
- are eager to contribute with your knowledge and experience to shared learning and development
- meet patients, relatives and colleagues with goodwill, respect and care
- want to be an active part of our professional and social community.
