FOCUS Moduler A/S is seeking a designing building designer, who wants to become part of a growing company and take a central role in the development of exciting modular buildings.

We work with modern and flexible modular buildings for, among other things, schools, institutions, offices, housing and customized solutions. Here the focus is on high quality, solid craftsmanship and well-considered design – from the first ideas to the finished building.

Your role

You will become part of the technical team, where you work closely with experienced colleagues and project managers. In the beginning you will mainly work with design, coordination and technical sparring, while gradually taking on more responsibility and the opportunity to shape your own projects.

You will, among other things, be working with

• Drawing work – tender, regulatory and production drawings
• Design and development of project proposals
• Tender calculation and cost estimation
• Review of tender materials
• Coordination with customers, consultants and partners
• Schedules and quality assurance
• Preparation of production basis
• Follow-up on ongoing projects
• In time, independent project responsibility

You will have a diverse daily life, where several projects are often in progress at the same time and at different stages. This means you must both be able to dive into drawings and details – and at the same time lift your eyes and create an overview of the overall project. From design to project management. The position is interesting for you who want more than just sitting with drawings.

In time the ambition is that you can take responsibility for the projects from bids and design to production and handover.

Your profile

You have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably a carpenter with further education as a building designer/structural engineer. You are professionally curious, independent and have a desire to be involved when solutions need to be found.

We imagine that you

• Are educated as building designer or construction technician and preferably with experience in modular construction
• Have experience with design – preferably from the construction industry
• Have practical understanding of construction, preferably from a trades background
• Have experience with Revit – preferably at a high level
• Have knowledge of Excel and Word
• Can work in a structured way with drawings, documentation and project materials
• Have an understanding of construction processes and technical solutions
• Communicate well with customers, consultants, colleagues and partners
• Take responsibility and follow your tasks through to the end , we expect you to be proactive and quickly self-driven

As a person you are outgoing, proactive and solution-oriented. You thrive working independently, but also know when it is important to consult with colleagues.

You do not need to know it all from day one. The most important is that you want to learn, take responsibility and develop. A daily life with many different projects. You will have a diverse daily life where you can be involved from the first dialogue about a solution to the finished project material. One day could, for example, consist of dialogue with a customer about a new project, followed by design and tender calculation. Later you may work on regulatory drawings, coordinate with a consultant or follow up on a project that is already in production. It requires an overview and the ability to prioritise.
