Do you want to help build relationships that make a real difference for both people and businesses?

Since 2019, the Volunteer Business Mentor program in Viborg Municipality has helped more than 340 young people move on to work or education. Behind the results is a strong network of more than 110 volunteer business mentors from the local business community, who contribute with sparring, networking, motivation and insight into the labor market.

We are now looking for a business consultant who can continue the work. You will be the coordinator of the business mentor network and ensure that mentors, businesses, residents and colleagues experience a professional and value-creating effort.

About the job

You will play an important role in driving and developing one of Viborg Municipality’s strong bridge-building initiatives between residents and businesses.

A central part of the job is to create the right matches between unemployed residents and volunteer business mentors. You will be the focal point of the initiative and support the mentor programs through dialogue, sparring and follow-up with residents, mentors, businesses and colleagues.

At the same time, you will help ensure progress in the initiative through follow-up on goals and results, development of the mentor network and outreach to companies. You are also expected to be curious about the Job Center’s other offers and bring relevant opportunities into play for businesses and residents.

Your tasks

• Create and maintain matches between unemployed residents and volunteer business mentors.
• Support mentor programs through dialogue, sparring and follow-up.
• Maintain and develop the network of business mentors and recruit new mentors.
• Ensure ongoing attention to the business mentor initiative internally at Jobcenter Viborg and support the use of the program across relevant target groups.
• Follow up on goals, activities and results of the initiative.
• Communicate relevant offers and opportunities from the Job Center.

You will be part of a dedicated team where we help each other, share knowledge and tackle many tasks together. Although you will have a special role around the business mentoring initiative, you will also participate in cross-cutting tasks and initiatives that characterize Corporate Services.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary is set on the basis of the applicable collective agreement and a concrete assessment of your education, your documented work experience and your professional and personal qualifications. Before the appointment and the conclusion of the salary agreement you have the opportunity to receive information about the starting salary in the specific position. Viborg Municipality uses objective and gender-neutral criteria for salary setting in accordance with the rules on equal pay for work of equal value and in accordance with the relevant collective agreement.
