Business Controller

• with strong Excel skills and flair for AI

Eltronic A/S is constantly evolving, and therefore we need a Business Controller who can support the business with data-driven analyses and calculations as the basis for the strategic direction. We are looking for a profile who not only reports on the numbers but builds models and automates workflows that continuously make the finance function faster and sharper – and who wants to be at the forefront when we start using AI in the department.

The position

With reference to the CFO and based on our knowledge hub in Hedensted, you as a Business Controller will be tasked with supporting the business in achieving the expected financial results. You will become the business's internal consultant and use analyses, business insight and close sparring with stakeholders to create a strong foundation for Eltronic's future development.

The position has two focal points. One is the classic controlling: analyses, budget follow-up, project economics in a broad interface with the entire organisation. The other is the toolbox. We expect you to be strong in Excel at the modeling level, and that you actively use AI in your daily work to move from data to decision more quickly.

Your tasks

• Prepare analyses and reports as decision bases for management.
• Identify and understand the causes of variances and continually improve the business results.
• Prepare and follow up on budgets and estimates.
• Ensure correct and relevant inputs to the reporting models.
• Perform relevant control of portfolio and major projects.
• Prepare materials for board and management meetings.
• Build, maintain and further develop Excel models for budget, forecast, project economics and liquidity.
• Automate manual routines in reporting and bridge between Business Intelligence and business partnering.
• Help test and implement AI tools in the finance function – and share the learning with the rest of the team.
• Ad hoc analyses.

Excel and Power BI are your craft

We use Excel for everything from project tracking to valuation, and we expect a level that is well above average. You build clear and robust models rather than spreadsheets that can only be run by the person who created them. Power BI is the other half of the craft where Eltronic has an extensive Power BI setup. You have a sense of when an analysis belongs in a spreadsheet and when it should be lifted into a report accessible to all. Familiarity with NAV and data work is an advantage.

AI as a natural part of the workday

AI is not a side project at Eltronic, but part of the way we work. You gain access to Microsoft 365 Copilot in the premium edition and to Claude, and we expect you to actively use the tools for data cleaning, analysis, text and presentations – and to proactively seek new applications where AI can create value.

AI also requires judgment. You always quality-check the output, critically assess the tools' limitations, and have control of data security and confidentiality when working with the company's numbers. If you already have experience in automating the path from raw data to a finished report, that is a strong plus. Most importantly, however, is curiosity and your desire to learn and try new possibilities at a high pace.

Professional qualifications

We imagine you have a degree such as cand.merc., HD or equivalent, and that you are either a recent graduate or have a couple of years of experience. You possess solid IT skills, are proficient in Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint, and you have experience using AI tools professionally. Familiarity with NAV is an advantage. You master Danish and English in written and spoken form.

As a person you are analytical, structured and have solid business understanding. You take responsibility, work independently and possess a good amount of drive. In addition, you are quality-conscious, maintain an overview and are able to prioritize in a changing and busy everyday life.
