We are seeking a new colleague for our Business Development team in Copenhagen to handle PQ applications, establish teams with external partners, and proactive outreach in the Danish and Nordic markets.

As a team we work closely across the entire Business Development and you will also touch other markets when needed to pull together or we see a development opportunity by working cross-wise. You will have a broad internal contact surface in BIG across architects, partners and our Operations Team. We offer a high professional environment with colleagues in Legal, Bidding, Finance, Controlling etc. whom you will regularly interact with.

We seek a colleague who has industry knowledge as well as understanding of architecture, landscape architecture and master planning. As a person you work independently and in a structured way and you thrive on being proactive and outgoing. To ensure high quality in our work you must possess strong written communication skills and have a sense for graphic design in connection with the preparation of PQ applications and presentation material.

You must be comfortable leading meetings with partners and potential clients as well as representing BIG at conferences and in relevant networks. We are seeking a candidate with 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Generally your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

  • Preparation of PQ applications and handling of new direct commissions and clients
  • Assessment of potential new projects and preparation of internal recommendations
  • Handling of client relationships and meetings with partners
  • Due diligence of new clients
  • Representation of BIG at selected conferences, lectures and events
  • Conducting market research and developing marketing material
  • Development of strategic initiatives for BIG
  • Maintenance of CRM databases

We are looking for a person who

  • Has concrete experience in leading and executing successful PQ applications
  • Has knowledge of the construction industry and its players
  • Has an understanding of architecture, building procedures and urban planning; this is an advantage
  • Is proactive, outgoing and thrives on exploring new areas and tasks
  • Has good collaboration skills and is motivated by achieving results in collaboration with others
  • Has skills in MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign
  • Proficient in Danish and English, both written and spoken; Swedish, Norwegian or Finnish is an advantage but not required.
  • Can work in a structured and focused manner

We envision that you have a relevant academic education, for example a master's degree in architecture, marketing, business, communication or a similar field and 2–5 years of experience. You may have worked in an architectural firm, engineering firm, contractor or similar company in the construction industry and have experience leading PQ application processes in the Nordic region.

The position is full-time based at BIG’s HQ in Copenhagen. You will become part of a professional and experienced Business Development team in Copenhagen, reporting to Director of Business Development, Heidi Pedersen.

BIG has projects and partners around the world, and the position offers a unique opportunity to develop your competencies in global business development and the construction industry in general.
