Business-oriented Department Manager for Traffic Infrastructure

Hvidovre

We are seeking a department head who can bring people together, create direction and develop an important business within traffic infrastructure.

As the department head you will be responsible for a strong team consisting of 4 project managers and 25 technicians, who every day deliver solutions and service to some of Denmark's most central customers in the transport and infrastructure sector, including Banedanmark, the Metro, DSB, Sund & Bælt, Lokaltog, Letbanen, Tesla and BMO. You will be an important part of the management in a department with high ambitions for both growth, quality and employee development.

A leadership role with broad responsibility

You will be responsible for ensuring that the department both functions strongly in daily operations and develops in the longer term. Your primary areas of responsibility will be:

• Leadership and development of project managers and technicians
• Ensuring high well-being, motivation and employee engagement
• Financial responsibility for the department's revenue, profitability and capacity management
• Development of existing customer relationships and identification of new business opportunities
• Ensuring high quality and delivery reliability across tasks and contracts
• Strategic resource planning and prioritization of the department's activities
• Follow-up on contracts, KPIs and customer agreements
• Close collaboration with customers, authorities and internal stakeholders
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Traffic Infrastructure business area

Although your daily base will be in Hvidovre, you will also have employees affiliated with our Korsør department. To build strong relationships and support daily operations, it is expected that you are regularly present at the Korsør location.

Who are you?

You are first and foremost a leader who creates results through others. You may come from the rail, utilities, or infrastructure sector. The most important thing is that you have experience leading people and driving progress in a technical organization.

• Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in people management and leading managers
• Have a solid financial understanding and experience with budget responsibility at department level
• Are used to working with larger customers and complex stakeholders
• Thrive in both strategic and operational tasks
• Have experience from a project- or service-based business
