About the job

We are looking for educated pedagogues who have a special heart for children – educators who are curious about how we can create the best day for all children, both during school hours and in SFO (after-school care).

The positions are 37 hours and permanent employment, with start from November 1 or December 1.

Your working hours are scheduled between 6.30 and 17.00. In the school weeks your work plan is roughly as follows, spread over the five days of the week: one day 6.30-15.00, one day 10.00-17.00, one day 8.45-16.00, one day 10.00-16.00, one day 10.00-16.15. You know your work plan for the whole school year, so it is a predictable and fixed daily working time. There are also about 10 evenings per year when we have meetings or events with children.

As a pedagogue at Buskelundskolen you have tasks both during school time and in leisure time.

We work closely together in teams. We have a skilled and engaged pedagogical group that you will become part of, and we have a respectful and equal collaboration between teachers and pedagogues. We have fixed collaboration times and common preparation each week, in different groupings, so tasks can be solved collectively and we can inspire each other.

We highly prioritize continuing education and ongoing inspiration when you are employed with us, and as a new pedagogue at Buskelundskolen you participate in a thorough introductory program that well equips you for your new role.

The school time at Buskelundskolen is organized in a structure we call Out and Home.

When you are Home, you are in an age-mixed group which we call the 'home group', and when you are Out we work with team division based on level, motivation and other divisions that the children inspire us to.

Your task as a pedagogue during school time is in the home group, where you are with the children here for 10 hours per week. You are in the home group for one morning, and in one module for one day over midday, and you are present for the whole weekly theme day.

On the weekly theme day you teach you and your teaching colleague the children in your home group in interdisciplinary topics and activities. On theme days we are often outside and we go on trips, where we both make use of the local area and the city’s cultural offerings.

You are the primary adult for a group of children in our lower school, and you share responsibility for a home group together with your teaching colleague. As the primary adult you are responsible for following the child’s development both during school time and in leisure time, you participate in school–home conversations, and you write development plans for your group of children.

In the Leisure part we work by function.

We have functions that are both outdoors and indoors, we have a wonderful outdoor area, good opportunities for creative activities, a hall and a room for movement, and in the Café the children get something to eat every day and relax. We have two long days in the SFO, where the children arrive at 12, so here we have plenty of time for special activities and immersion. We have a fixed outdoor day in the SFO every week, all year round, where we both use our own outdoor areas and go on trips in the local area.

The tasks and functions in our leisure-time team are distributed in such a way that you get the opportunity to specialize in what you have a special interest in. We look forward to what you, as our new colleague, want to contribute in your leisure time - only imagination sets the limits for which activities can be launched.

At Buskelundskolen we work from an ideal of formation, qualified self-determination, where, in close collaboration between teacher and pedagogue, we shape the framework for “the child’s whole day.” You are encouraged to read more about us at: https://buskelundskolen.aula.dk/

We encourage you to contact the school if you want to know more about the job, and if you would like to visit the school. Contact the pedagogical leader Lise Bilberg Holm by email: [email protected] or phone 25 11 02 03.

We look forward to hearing from you!
