We are looking for a pedagogical assistant for 37 hours to our nursery on Frederiksberg .

And let's start with the most important

You don't need to know the difference between Vygotsky, relational competence and the zone of proximal development to apply for the job.

But you must be curious about children. Really curious.

About why Vilma, age 2, insists on putting on her rubber boots by herself. Why a cardboard box can suddenly be more interesting than all the toys we've bought. And what actually happens when two children both are completely convinced that the same red shovel belongs to them.

For the work in a nursery consists of many small moments.

And they are actually quite big.

Welcome to Horisonten

Horisonten is a children's house in Frederiksberg with a nursery, a kindergarten and a forest department in Rude Skov.

You will become part of our nursery on Frederiksberg, where our groups are called North, South, East and West .

We are a house in development. It doesn't mean that everything has to be changed all the time. It means that we are curious about how we can do things better.

We work, among other things, to create more presence and immersion, strong child communities and adults who don't just stand beside the play, but dare to enter it.

We believe in clear frameworks, professional reflection and that children do the best they can, given the possibilities we adults give them.

And we also believe that a good workplace should be a place where you are allowed to laugh.

You are not just a "helper"

For the children, you are not a helper.

You are the adult who welcomes them in the morning.

The one who notices that someone needs a hand.

The one who can make an ordinary Tuesday special by finding a puddle, starting a hunt for ladybirds or sitting on the floor and genuinely becoming engrossed in what is happening.

You will of course also wipe noses, change diapers, tidy up, put children to bed and find lost pacifiers.

That is also pedagogy.

For care, play, development and the practical routines are connected – especially when you are between 0 and 3 years old.

If you have experience from a nursery or another job with children, that is of course wonderful.

If not, the door is still open.

We are just as interested in, who you are with the children as what is written on your CV.

On the other hand we do not promise…

…that every day will be calm.

…that the coffee always gets to be drunk while it's hot.

…or that your plan for the day necessarily survives meeting 20 small people with their own plans.
