We at Frelloskolen are currently in the fortunate position to offer a permanent position in our middle years. Your subject specializations are not decisive for us in determining whether it is you we should hire. The most important for us is to hire a teacher who is passionate about creating a school day that makes sense, fosters engagement, and strengthens the sense of community among our students. It would, however, be a plus if you can teach Danish at the middle years.

Frelloskolen is the community where everyone participates. We are focused on ensuring that what we work with at the school has meaning for our children and young people. We want to prepare our students to actively participate in the world. Therefore, we primarily work with project-based learning at Frelloskolen.

At Frelloskolen, your teaching is grouped by one year group. This gives you and your team the opportunity for close cooperation, flexibility and deepening – exactly what we want to offer our students.

Our year-group teams have fixed collaboration time each week, full control over the year's timetable, own finances and a good share of two-teacher hours in all year groups. You will meet engaged and helpful colleagues and leaders who take an interest in you and who are always happy to help you.

You should have the following in your backpack

• Have an appreciative view of children and people, where all children and adults do their best.
• Have good collaboration skills and be oriented toward a committed collaboration in the year-group team.
• Have good competences within learning space management and relationship work.
• Be good at communicating as well as creating and maintaining a good dialogue with the parents – a dialogue that both involves and informs.

About Frelloskolen

Frelloskolen is a newly built school that opened its doors on the first school day in August 2021. Frelloskolen is located in the town of Varde, and with our 840 students and nearly 90 staff we are the largest school in Varde municipality.

Each year we work with 4 project courses with a duration of 6–8 weeks. To support us in developing as a project-based school, we have entered into an agreement with the KATA Foundation. We thus started in August 2022 as one of the 9 Leap-schools in Denmark. You can read more about the Leap-schools here: https://leapsskoler.dk/

As a new employee at Frelloskolen you will receive courses, teaching and sparring so you are equipped to collaborate with your colleagues to create engaging project courses.

Salary and employment

The position is a permanent full-time position. Start date will be agreed at the interview. Salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement.
