Who are we?

The cardiology day unit is a small team under the cardiology outpatient clinic – located on the 7th floor with a fantastic view, which often becomes the day’s first icebreaker with patients.

As our new colleague you will help further develop the ambulatory’s interdisciplinary culture, where patient involvement, professionalism, co-determination and a good working environment are the main ingredients to ensure an optimal patient journey.

We have space for 8 patients, who are typically discharged the same day, and we place great emphasis on safe, professional and coherent patient pathways.

What do we do?

We provide nursing and treatment before and after, among other things

• Ablation
• Placement, removal and replacement of pacemaker and ICD
• Elective and subacute DC cardioversions
• Placement and removal of loop recorder
• Reading of loop recorder
• Holter monitoring
• Atrial fibrillation clinic

What is daily life like?

With us, patient contacts are short, but the relationships are important. We often follow patients from when they arrive until they leave again, which provides good continuity and coherence in the pathways.

Opening hours

• Monday–Thursday 7:00–20:00
• Friday 7:00–16:00

You will have influence on your duty roster and we show flexibility to create coherence between work life and private life. There is the possibility of 12-hour shifts on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The team (and the atmosphere)

We are a small, stable team of 7 cardiology nurses (including deputy head) and a secretary. We are professionally proud, very diverse – and work really well together. There is room for professionalism, laughter in daily life and social initiatives.

As management we are very mindful of the working environment. We want a working environment where wellbeing and professionalism are cardinal points for patient pathways and our working day. Therefore fairness, equality, trust and respect are values we protect and apply in our approach to the people we (co)work with.

The management is visible, responsive and curious about new ideas. If something can improve patient pathways or workflows, we try it out.

We participate in joint teaching on Tuesday mornings, where different teams provide teaching that can be interdisciplinary or single-disciplinary.

Who are you?

You are a nurse with cardiology experience – or a strong desire to work in the specialty – and want to be part of a team where people look forward to coming to work.

We are seeking a nurse for a permanent position of 32–37 hours per week, starting as soon as possible. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis until the right candidate is found.
