About the job

Do you want to lead a care home where people and professionalism are at the center?

We are seeking a new care home manager for Frederiksgade Nursing Home in Haslev.

Our current leader is retiring, and therefore we are looking for you who want to take over after a leader who has left his mark on the house – and who at the same time is eager to help shape Frederiksgade's next chapter.

Maybe it’s you we are looking for?

Frederiksgade Nursing Home is centrally located in Haslev and is home to about 45 residents. Here you will meet around 50 engaged employees who every day work to ensure residents experience a safe, meaningful and good everyday life.

As care home manager you will be responsible for both people, professional quality and operations. You must be able to see the whole picture, hold the direction, and at the same time be close to daily life.

We are in the process of creating the care of the future

The Elderly Care Act sets a clear direction for our work. Self-determination, continuity, presence, joy of life and self-reliance should be felt in the residents' everyday life.

At Frederiksgade you will help translate that direction into practice.

We work, among other things, with some clear quality markers

  • that residents experience self-determination and influence over their own life
  • that there is continuity and recognisability in daily life
  • that residents' wishes, goals and needs are the starting point for help
  • that relatives and civil society are invited in when it makes sense for the resident
  • that we create frameworks for community, activity and joy of life
  • that the employees have strong professional competence and work learning with quality

You must be the leader who makes it all hang together.

You must like both people and leadership

We are looking for a leader who is clear without being rigid, and who can create followers without having to have all the answers themselves.

You are trained as a nurse and have leadership experience and very preferably a relevant leadership postgraduate qualification. You have solid professional knowledge of the elderly care, health and care sector and understand the reality the staff are in.

You must be able to

Lead employees – even when it gets difficult. You can recruit and retain skilled staff, work systematically with well-being and sick leave, and have difficult conversations when necessary.

Set direction – and be clear about what you expect. You communicate clearly and properly and create frameworks within which employees can succeed.

Drive development – without forgetting operations. You can translate new requirements and political decisions into everyday life that makes sense for both residents and staff.

Keep the finances in check – and take responsibility for ensuring resources are used in the best possible way.

Create collaboration. You see TRIO, local-MED, nursing home councils, volunteers and partners as important players. You understand that a good nursing home is created not only by the staff but together with residents, relatives and the local community.

And you are a leader who leads from the front. You are present, curious and dare to take action when something needs to change.

You will have a strong team around you

As the manager of Frederiksgade you are not alone with the core task and operations.

You will become part of a strong professional team at the nursing home with among others social and health aides, social and health assistants, nursing home nurses, a planner and a deputy head.

This means you will have good professional strengths around you in daily life and a management foundation that supports both daily operations, the staff and the development of quality.

Your task will therefore not be to know how to do everything yourself, but to set direction, create coherence and get the many competences to work well together on the core task – the good everyday life for the residents.

You will become part of a strong leadership community

You will become part of the leadership team in Health & Care, where we are 12 leaders who work closely together and share knowledge, challenges and solutions across the organization.

You will get a buddy among your new leadership colleagues, who will be your primary contact person in the first period and help you onboard smoothly.

You will also get an organization that is evolving, and where we have ambitions for both professional quality, the work environment and the everyday life we create for the municipality’s elderly.

Shall we have a talk?

If you can see yourself in the role – and want to lead Frederiksgade – we would love to hear from you.

Contact Deputy Head Sarah Rytter Bladmose at 23314993 or Head of Health and Care Tina Asmussen 22602033 for a non-binding conversation about the job and everyday life at Frederiksgade.

Come to Haslev. Come to Frederiksgade. Maybe this is where your next leadership job begins.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Salary and employment terms

The position is paid according to the applicable collective agreement and Faxe Municipality’s pre-agreement for leading nurses.

The position is generally placed at L12. In accordance with the pre-agreement an extra salary step is paid for more than 3 years of leadership experience, just as relevant leadership education is rewarded financially.

The exact salary is determined based on the applicable collective agreement, the pre-agreement and your relevant qualifications and experience.
