We are seeking a calm, caring and stable employee as a fixed temporary nurse to the team, who can cover shifts during illness and holidays.

You will be part of a well-functioning team around a wonderful and creative young woman in Haslev.

About the woman

The woman is 37 years old and lives in a cozy townhouse in Haslev with her cat. She is very creative and loves projects such as sewing, crocheting, making jewelry and other handicrafts – and she is happy to share her knowledge and passion. At the same time, she is a big fan of sports, especially football and Formula 1 , and also enjoys good films, board games, card games and a game of Wii.

When she was 10 years old, a brain tumor was diagnosed that could not be operated on, and she has undergone radiation and cancer treatment in that regard. This has resulted in a brain injury as well as both physical and psychological challenges.

Today she needs structure, predictability and calm breaks , including daily rest, as overstimulation can lead to epileptic seizures.

About the tasks

You work alone on shifts , but are part of a fixed team of 4 staff. Shifts are in the time window 9:00–19:00 .

Tasks include, among other things

• Support in everyday life and one-to-one companionship
• Practical tasks at home, e.g. shopping and cooking
• Planning and structuring the day in collaboration with the woman based on a fixed weekly schedule
• Participation in creative activities, games and cozy moments
• Driving and accompanying to e.g. shopping and physiotherapy

Everything takes place at the woman’s pace and according to her daily form. Predictability and structure are central elements in the work.

There is also a close and respectful collaboration with the woman’s parents.

You, who we are looking for

We imagine that you

• Are educated as a teacher/childcare worker or unskilled with pedagogical experience.
• Or are a pedagogy student / student in another relevant social- or health-related education
• Are caring, empathetic and calm
• Thrive in working one-to-one
• Understand the importance of structure, recognizability and security
• Preferably have experience with brain injury (an advantage, but not a requirement)
• Are flexible and able to take shifts during illness and holidays
• Have a driving license and own car which can be used for the job (driving remunerated with travel allowance)
