Job description

Do you want to translate data and insights into growth?

At Orkla Danmark we believe that strong decisions are built on strong insights. Therefore we are looking for an analytical and commercially oriented Category Manager for a 12-month fixed-term position, who wants to help develop our categories, strengthen our customer recommendations and create growth across some of Denmark's strongest brands.

You will become part of our Commercial Marketing team and work closely with one of our Senior Category Managers. Together you will translate market data, shopper insights and category development into concrete recommendations that make a difference for both customers and the business.

The role gives you the opportunity to work at the intersection of analysis, strategy and execution. You will have responsibility, influence and a steep learning curve in one of Denmark's largest FMCG organizations.

Your responsibilities

As Category Manager you will among other things work with

• Market, category, shopper and performance analyses
• Preparation of customer and category presentations
• Ongoing reporting and follow-up on category development
• Analysis of assortment, distribution, campaigns and market dynamics
• Preparation of sales-supporting recommendations and decision basis
• Contribution to development of category strategies and commercial initiatives
• Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management and other commercial functions
• Ad hoc analyses and projects that support business development

You will work with both day-to-day deliveries and the projects that will secure our long-term growth. Therefore it is important that you thrive on both creating structure in detail and at the same time lifting your gaze to the bigger commercial opportunities.

Qualifications

Who are you?

We are not necessarily looking for the most experienced candidate. Instead, we are looking for someone with curiosity, drive and a desire to learn.

We imagine that you

• Have experience from FMCG, Retail, Category Management, Sales, Marketing or another commercial function
• Are strong analytically and motivated by working with data and insights
• Have solid experience with Excel and preferably PowerPoint
• Have experience with NielsenIQ, Circana or other market data sources, but this is not a requirement
• Are structured and follow tasks through to the end
• Are able to translate analyses into clear recommendations
• Thrive on collaboration across the organization
• Have a commercial mindset and interest in what drives growth in categories and with customers

As a person you are proactive, energetic and curious. You take responsibility for your tasks, ask questions when you want to understand more, and actively contribute to making both people and projects succeed.
