About the job

The position is full-time, but we value a good balance between work and private life, which we are happy to discuss. The position is desired to be filled by December 1, 2026 and preferably earlier.

Exciting daily life with great diversity, where we succeed together

Plejehjem Kong Frederik IX currently has 58 homes spread across five living-care environments. In the second half of 2026 we are expanding with 22 new homes, so the nursing home will thereafter consist of 80 homes spread over six living-care environments. Occupancy will take place in stages and is expected to be completed on November 1, 2026. The staff work in a team-based approach with a single team as a starting point, but always with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration throughout the house.

For us, it is important that we continue to be one house built on the same foundation and the same values , where all employees are hired for two things – professionalism and collaboration!

We work every day to create a valuable and meaningful everyday life for the individual resident through close collaboration with both residents and relatives and with great respect for each individual’s wishes, needs and self-determination.

As a nurse with us

You, together with our two other center nurses, will have an important role in supporting the social and health staff in using and developing their competencies. We believe that professional learning occurs in practice through on-the-job training and dialogue. So you must be passionate about practice-oriented competence development that is relevant to daily care and assistance work, but also regarding prioritizing activity-based and meaningful tasks for each resident.

We place high value on supervision and sparring with the staff, because it helps us make each other better. This also means that you as nurses are visible around the house, e.g., at morning briefings, participate in e.g. team meetings, supervision, resident conferences, participate in complex care pathways to a relevant extent.

Your future colleagues include among others social and health care assistants and aides, students, substitutes and nutrition and cleaning assistants. You will have close collaboration with the two other center nurses, with management and with a wide range of skilled staff in various roles. There is also a network with other center nurses from other nursing homes.

We also have a really good collaboration with two different nursing home doctors who come on a fixed rotation.

We are looking for a nurse who

  • has broad clinical experience and can perform, convey, coordinate and develop the health care interventions
  • can participate in complex care pathways and help strengthen the professionalism at the nursing home
  • can guide, support and supervise social and health care assistants and aides in nursing, thereby strengthening and developing focus areas for quality development and documentation
  • is responsible, independent, flexible, engaged, creative, curious and patient
  • has knowledge of dementia diseases or is eager to become proficient in the area
  • is good at health care documentation and has flair for IT. We have the EOJ system CURA
  • can communicate openly, clearly and positively and has the ability to listen
  • is cheerful, humorous and positive-thinking
  • first and foremost you have both feet on the ground.

We offer

  • a professionally strong working environment with a focus on person-centered care and leadership
  • work with various reflection tools including Tom Kitwood’s Flowers, Isbjerget, Perspektivskifte, Trivselskar
  • a holistic approach where we use each other’s competencies across professional groups
  • daily dialogue and collaboration with management, center nurses, planner, administrative staff, technical service manager, activity staff and many engaged colleagues
  • an exciting workplace with varied and meaningful tasks
  • a individually tailored onboarding program so you get the best possible start
  • focus on professional development, supervision and shared reflection
  • a working environment characterized by trust, respect and helpfulness, where no one faces the difficult tasks alone
  • like the other two center nurses you plan your own schedule and thus have great influence on the work plan. As a rule there is no weekend/holiday work.

We believe that we succeed best together

We are convinced that the best solutions arise when people with different perspectives and competencies work together toward a common goal. Therefore we highly value collaboration, professional curiosity and mutual support.
