You will drive the ongoing organizational and cultural development of the center and create clear frameworks for high professional quality, a good working environment, cross-cutting collaboration and good leadership, where holistic thinking, integrity, professionalism, trust and openness are essential guiding principles.
Psykiatrisk Center Sct. Hans
Psychiatric Center Sct. Hans handles tasks within specialized forensic psychiatry at regional level as well as specialized integrated dual-diagnosis treatment for patients with concurrent mental illness and substance use issues. Both areas have strong political focus and media attention and constitute complex professional treatment tasks, where many considerations must be included in planning the treatment task.
In addition to specialized assessment, treatment and care, the center also educates health care personnel and conducts research within the center's specialized functions. The center is in an important development phase, where there is a need to create greater organizational coherence, support a common professional direction and further develop the organizational culture.
Both educational and research activities are important and highly prioritized functions at Psykiatrisk Center Sct. Hans, which educates health care personnel at a qualified professional level, and which has significant research activities within the center's special functions. The center also houses the Competence Center for Forensic Psychiatry. There is an ambition to strengthen research.
The task
As center director you will have overall responsibility for setting direction for and further developing Psykiatrisk Center Sct. Hans as a specialized center for forensic psychiatry and integrated dual-diagnosis treatment. You must translate national and regional ambitions into local development and ensure that the center continues to deliver high-quality treatment, research and education, while skilled employees can still be affiliated and recruited.
You will lead the ongoing development of the center in a period characterized by major changes, including the integration of psychiatry and somatics and the establishment of Region East Denmark.
A key task will be to strengthen coherence across the organization and bring the center together around a common direction, culture and core task with a focus on professionalism and good patient care. You must support the development of a strong leadership community with shared responsibility for the center's overall results and create the best conditions for collaboration across professional environments, organizational units and management levels.
As center director you must ensure safe and well-functioning operations, responsible financial management, clear structures and roles as well as a professional interplay between clinic and administration. You must also contribute to creating organizational calm, a good working environment and a culture characterized by trust, openness, integrity, professionalism and a holistic view. Part of the task will be to continue and anchor initiated initiatives in the occupational environment area.
You will become a central collaboration partner for the hospital's management and must strengthen the center's relationships with municipalities, other psychiatric centers, somatic hospitals, police, probation service, courts and other actors around the patients' pathways.
Personen
We are seeking an experienced and unifying leader who can achieve results through other leaders and navigate safely in the intersection of strategy, operations, professional development and organizational culture. You are motivated by large societal tasks and manage to set clear direction, create followers and maintain focus on long-term goals, even when dilemmas or strong interests are at stake.
You have solid experience with leading leaders and with complex hospital operations. You have demonstrated results in organizational development, culture change, financial management and strategic leadership and understand how to balance development and secure operations.
We expect you to have a relevant academic and/or health-related education and relevant leadership training.
As a person you are clear, robust and decisive. You maintain calm and judgment in complex situations and can handle cross-pressure and make difficult decisions when necessary. At the same time you are proper, listening, curious and inclusive and you build trust through hands-on leadership, transparent communication and respect for different perspectives.
You are strong relationally and can bring people together around a common direction. You have an eye for both the organization's overall interests and local perspectives, and you can develop leaders, strengthen cross-collaboration and create an open culture where learning, quality and shared responsibility go hand in hand. At the same time you can navigate safely in cooperation with hospital leadership, municipalities, authorities and other external partners.

The most important is, however, your leadership professional depth, your understanding of complex hospital operations and your ability to develop and unite an organization around a common ambition to create the best possible offerings to patients.
