About the job
If you see value in diverse nursing tasks, interprofessional collaboration and a good exchange between working with residents in both somatic placements and temporary stays, then read on!
We have a vacant 6-month temporary position in mixed day and evening shifts with the possibility of extension as of 1 December 2026 or preferably earlier. The weekly working time will be 37 hours, but fewer hours can also be agreed. Day shifts are on weekdays from 7:00 – 15:30.
We have nursing coverage every day of the year, which is why you for the time being will have to join weekend rotations, which on average will fall every 4th week in the period 7:00 – 13:00 , and you will be required to work on some of the year's holidays depending on the distribution in the nursing group. Evening shifts will be on weekdays and here we are open to dialogue about what makes sense from your private perspective, but of course also based on the needs here at Skovgården.
About us
Elderly Center Skovgården is a lovely home for the 48 residents we have room for. These are distributed as follows:
- 30 Somatic places
- 8 Shielded places:
- 2 Mobile places (relief from home)
- 8 Temporary stays:
Skovgården is an exciting workplace with +60 employees, broadly represented professionally: social- and health care assistants, social- and health care apprentices, social and health care assistants, pedagogues, unskilled workers, kitchen assistant, house assistants, duty planner, assistant department head and department head.
All employees are more or less employed at Skovgården, but still all employees are attached to one primary team out of our 5 teams. This should help create a sense of continuity for both residents and staff.
At Skovgården we strive to contribute to the individual resident living a dignified and meaningful life, which partly depends on self-determination and personal wishes. In line with this, we place a high value on social aspects and activities. This happens both within the individual teams, but also across the house. This takes place in collaboration with the staff, but is largely driven by the volunteers, whom we are fortunate to have affiliated with Skovgården.
We offer a position where you
- will handle nursing tasks, both general and complex.
- care for residents, and participate in close collaboration with relatives.
- conduct assessments of nursing-related issues, and support your colleagues in solving these tasks.
- contribute to ensuring quality and resident safety by working systematically with documentation in Cura.
- have close collaboration with authorities regarding visitation to placements at Skovgården, as well as follow-up on temporary placements.
- must have the coordinating function in relation to collaboration with the general practitioner, ambulance service, on-call doctor and/or hospital.
- be able to utilize your collaboration and communication skills, and contribute to creating a good learning environment and not least a good working environment together with a group of professionally skilled colleagues.
- be the facilitator in relation to triage, resident conferences and SSH and SSA meetings.
About you
- you are a trained nurse.
- you thrive in a dynamic daily life, which can quickly look different from what's planned.
- you are able to keep many balls in the air at once.
- you may very well have broad experience that enables you to handle complex nursing challenges, which can be necessary since several of our residents either return from a hospitalization, or when we often receive residents who come directly from the hospital to the temporary placements.
- you thrive in palliative care, and being close to both resident and relatives at the end of life.
- you master good documentation.
- you are prepared to participate in care when it is necessary for us to succeed with the core task – e.g. during sickness absence and similar.
It matters to us to give new employees a good welcome, therefore we also create an intro program that ensures that together with you we go through what is relevant to get started well as a nurse at Skovgården.
You will be assigned a mentor in the nursing group, which currently consists of 5 other nurses, and from the management side there will also be close follow-up during your onboarding.
As a nurse at Skovgården you have the opportunity to influence the prioritization of tasks, as well as to use your competencies.
We hope you would like to be our upcoming colleague.
