Chief Financial Officer at Langeland Municipality

Langeland Municipality is seeking a Chief Financial Officer who has a central role in the municipality's strategic development.

The CFO collaborates with the management and the political leadership, and must ensure that Langeland Municipality's financial management is tight, robust, efficient and ahead of developments. The CFO is the guarantee that the Finance and Procurement department looks beyond its own tasks and is able to support all of the municipality's centers.

Sharp prioritization and efficient task execution are a prerequisite to succeed in an organization with demands for better quality with fewer resources. You can easily contribute to the work of optimizing task solving, including the alignment between central and decentralized functions.

You are relationally strong, trustworthy and candid, and you thrive in a flat structure that makes the workplace more flexible. It requires that you are visible, good at internal communication and can create cohesion.

The CFO has responsibility for Finance and Procurement, and reports to the Chief Administrative Officer.

Your tasks include, among others

• ensure robust and transparent financial management
• develop management technologies and the financial support of the organization
• improve both data and data-driven decisions
• advise both the executive and the finance committee
• lead a professionally skilled and competent staff in Finance and Procurement

You are the right person if you have pronounced strategic and operational experience with finance in a municipality, have documented municipal leadership experience, can deliver legal, professional, sound, and politically neutral advisory and can communicate complex contexts simply and clearly. You are curious in dialogue, can set a direction and achieve goals without losing the work environment from view. You must therefore be able to see far and have the near at heart, or in other words, improve and motivate.

As CFO you report to the Chief Administrative Officer. Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the agreement on the remuneration of managers. Salary level between 830,000 DKK and 840,000 DKK, including contract allowance, but excluding pension.

Start as soon as possible and no later than 1 December 2026.
