About the job
Chief Nurse with a focus on visible and ambitious leadership
An exciting leadership position is available in the Dialysis Clinic at Region Hospitalet Gødstrup. We are seeking a Chief Nurse to start on 1 December 2026 or by agreement. You will become part of a strong leadership team and have the opportunity to influence development in a department that has set the bar high for professionalism, quality, staff well-being and collaboration.
We expect a Chief Nurse who, with their professional and personal qualifications, can lead in the operation, development and profiling of the Dialysis Clinic. As a leader you must set the framework and direction for nursing in a highly specialized field.
As Chief Nurse you share the management responsibility in the Dialysis Clinic with the leading consultant. Together you lead a dialysis clinic with 36 hemodialysis beds and 48 committed nurses, where high professional quality, development and staff well-being go hand in hand.
You will play a central role in the continued development of the hemodialysis area and must ensure direction, coherence and strong patient pathways in collaboration with the Chief Physician and the Chief Nurse in the Department of Nephrology and Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases as well as the Kidney Disease Clinic. Additionally, you will be an active part of the Medical Department's overall leadership team, contributing to both strategic development and daily operations of the department in close interaction with the Department Management and other department leaders.
Currently our focus is on the new health reform, where the health service must come closer to the citizen, including through closer cooperation between authorities. The health reform will impose new requirements on us as a hospital, and as a leader you will play an important role in the transformation work to adapt our workflows to the new health system framework.
Dialysis Clinic
In the clinic we provide treatment and care for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease. Most of the patients are chronically ill in long, often complex courses, and we also provide hemodialysis treatment for patients with acute needs, including patients in Intensive Care.
Patients dialyze on day and evening shifts. In addition, we train suitable patients to perform hemodialysis at home. Patient involvement is a central focus area.
The staff group consists of nurses with different professional and personal strengths, and a large part have been part of the clinic for many years. We focus on professional development and continuously work on various development and research projects. Together with the work with Fundamentals of Care (FoC) this contributes to developing nursing practice and strengthening the quality of nursing.
The working environment is characterized by good team spirit, where openness, humor and respect for each other are part of everyday life.
The managerial tasks
- Operations management with planning and organization of the staffing resources in the Dialysis Clinic and ensuring optimal capacity utilization.

Profile

- Thinks analytically and strategically with a view to the whole, is curious and creative in development approaches and can grasp new ideas, create engagement around them and bring them safely from idea to practice.
- Is a visible and presence-rich leader who is aware of their own leadership foundation and values, and who creates direction, trust and followers through authentic leadership.
- Talent for making everyday work function across disciplines and sectors through a visible and inspiring presence and open and respectful communication.
- A personality with an open, trust-building and friendly demeanor, who cares about their staff both as a whole and as individuals.
- Must ensure a high mutual information level both for the clinic's staff and for other partners.
