About the job
Are you passionate about intensive psychiatry, interdisciplinary collaboration and strong professional leadership in a demanding daily work life with a fast pace in the field? Then we offer in the Acute Psychiatric Department, Aalborg an exciting and development-oriented senior consultant position with a high degree of independence.
About the job
As a senior consultant you will have a particularly important task in the form of managerial responsibility for the professional tasks undertaken by the inpatient ward. You will address this in close cooperation with the treatment team, the chief nurse and the rest of the multidisciplinary staff, where you together also focus on coordinating daily operations, collaboration and the working environment.
Finally you will have a particularly close collaboration with the chief physicians in the intensive care and acute areas. The acute area consists of Ward S6 (also a closed acute ward) and the Psychiatric Receiving Ward and the Emergency Room S4, as well as the outpatient units where patients are typically followed.
The department has many students, both pre- and post-graduate, across all professional groups, where you are expected to participate in activities and teaching, especially in this regard in relation to medical students and doctors. Finally you will naturally play an important role in anchoring the ward’s collaboration with the other inpatient wards, which are located together at the new university hospital in Hospital City, while the outpatient clinics are gathered in a dedicated Ambulatory House located on Brandevej in Aalborg Øst. The latter is expected to be fully implemented in early 2027.
About you
It is a prerequisite that you are a specialist in psychiatry, here with a strong professional profile, and that you wish to work in an exciting position with both clinical and educational activities as well as possibly research. That you thrive in a multidisciplinary field with many colleagues and partners, have good communication skills and are able to structure your daily life in connection with development activities – and that you are of course an active contributor in a changing daily life.
We expect you to have
- Danish authorization as a specialist in psychiatry – preferably with solid experience with the acute area
- Good collaboration skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to motivate and provide professional sparring
- Ability to achieve results based on shared direction and coordination.
Treatment-related experience and competencies within intensive psychiatry will be an advantage.
We offer
